Reinforced concrete ceiling of house

The bachelor’s thesis is focused on the design and assessment of monolithic reinforced concrete ceiling of house. Calculation of internal forces is carried out in a computer software SCIA Engineer with manual verification using the simplifield method. Assessment is done according to Eurocode 2 (ČSN EN 1992-1-1).
The effect of cyclic loading assessment on the deformation characteristics of hardened concrete

This thesis deals with the influence of multiple cyclic loading on the deformation characteristics of hardened concrete. The influence on static modulus of elasticity in compression was studied. In this thesis deformation during multiple cyclic loading test was measured. Afterwards, from the test results the static modulus of elasticity in pressure was defined. The main output of this research is grafical and percentual representation of decrease of static modulus of elasticity values in compression in dependence of increasing number of cycles.
Diagnostics of ceiling structures - possibilities of using GPR

The thesis is focused on the overview of the diagnostic methods for engineering surveys. The distribution of ceiling structures according to various parameters is described. The theoretical part then provides an analysis of diagnostic methods for the ceiling structures in more detail. It includes a description of the operating principles of GPR. The practical part explains the construction and technical survey of ceiling structures using ground penetrating radar as well as measuring on a physical model. Practical measurement is focused on the use and limitations of the radar.

The issue of waterproof concrete for the concrete tunnel lining

This bachelor thesis deals with a summary of requirements for waterproof lining of tunnels. Then focuses on the characteristics and requirements for concrete lining. Emphasis will be on requirements for fresh concrete, such as the hydration heat, the temperature requirements of concrete during storage and the requirements for concrete in the hardened state such as strength properties, modulus of elasticity and volume changes. Subsequently is discussed possibility of using SCC for this type of construction.
Comparison of alternatives house ceiling

Main goal of this bachelor thesis is design, assesment and comparison of two variations on ceilling construction specifically between reinforced concrete slab and system from company Porotherm – beams and floor block Miako. Internar forces are calculated both in Scia Engineer 2013.1 and manually. Secondary goal consists in designing and assessing of reinforced concrete stairway. Drawn design of this suggested construction is included in this thesis.
Reinforced concrete structure of the apartment building

The bachelor thesis is aimed for design and assessment of reinforced concrete locally supported monolithic slab and one selected column of a apartment building on the ultimate limit state. Another point of this work is to develop appropriate drawings. The apartment building has four above ground floors. Assessed slab is located on the second floor a column on the first floor. Internal forces are calculated using software Scia Engineer 2013. The Results of the software are compared with the results of the simplified manual method. The structure is designed according to ČSN EN.
Possibilities of rehabilitation of concrete structures damaged by high temperaturesv

The bachelor thesis studies the behavior of the cement concrete exposed to high temperatures. The theoretical part describes the processes in the concrete structure and its individual components. It also describes the diagnostic possibilities of the concrete and its subsequent rehabilitation. In case of rehabilitation and surface pretreatment possibilities, the emphasis was mainly placed on the high-speed water jet. Physical-mechanical properties of the samples were verified by heavy load of pressure from high-speed water jet and high temperature in the experimental part.
Reinforced concrete structure of the railway platform roofing

The bachelor‘s thesis deals with assessment of existing damaged reinforced concrete strucutre of the railway platform roofing according to the original project documentation. Apart from assessment of existing structure, there is prepared a design of two alternative solutions. The first alternative is a remediation of damage structure with description of appropriate diagnostic methods for testing concrete structures and with description of technological process of implementation of remediation. The second alternative is design of completely new structure instead of existing one. This new structure is designed as a monolithic frame contruction with restraint reinforced concrete panel and one – step foundation block. In this bachelor’s thesis there were prepared a design and assessment of sub – sections and work – out appropriate drawing documentation. All static assessments are calculated according to ultimate limit state.
Concrete ceiling of apartment house

The aim of bachelor thesis is to dimension and assess concrete ceiling in a typical storey of apartment house. Software RFEM is used here to calculate internal forces. The thesis also includes manual calculation of internal forces and comparison with results of software and also includes drawings of proposed solution. All calculation are done in accordance with Eurocode 2.
