Sustainably living village - Urban design of the village of Brněnce in relation to the former premises of textile factories

The content of the diploma thesis is an urban study of the village of Brněnec with a focus on the area of the former textile factory. Brněnec is a municipality where Czechs, Germans and Jews have lived together for centuries. The originally conflict-free relations between the residents were violently broken due to the influence of historical events. The Czech-Moravian border passed through the middle of the village, then the border of the Protectorate. The local factory of the Löw- Beer family was an important branch of international importance, later becoming the scene of the rescue of Jewish workers by Oskar Schindler. The author's aim was to reflect historical events in the design to the maximum extent and as sensitively as possible, but at the same time with the intention of creating a building that is pleasant for users, with an emphasis on sustainability and aesthetic requirements and regarding urban connections on the scale of the entire village.

Extension of the public water supply

The bachelor thesis deals with the extension of the public water supply. The water supply is designed for the town of Mikulov in a brownfield area where military barracks to be. The town plans new development in this area, making it important to expand the local infrastructure. The theoretical part describes the objects in the objects in the water supply line. The textual part addresses protective zones and clearance distances for various unitily networks. The thesis includes a proposal for a urban study. The coordination situation is developer for all utility networks in the street. The work focuses in deal on the project of extending the public water supply systém. The design outlines areas for public greenery. This thesis includes materials necessary for the water management authority to obtain zoning and building permits.

Revitalization and Renewal of the Town of Velké Němčice

The aim of the Master Thesis is creation of strategy and tactics for revitalization and modernisation of the public area of Velké Němčice village. The urban study follows the analysis and conclusions evaluated in the previous semestrial work. The aim of the design is to find a suitable solution to complement the ineffectively used public spaces, and to design new locations into the structure of the village. The thesis comes up with a strategy that provide using of public spaces more. The proposal is based on analyses and consultations with the municipal council. The result of this work shows how to make a polyfunctional spatially and socially diverse environment with sustainability principles.

Completion of the city block - Křížová street

The bachelor thesis deals exclusively with the urban concept of the completion of the city block and the architectural design of selected town houses in the proposed building complex. Important steps during the project were in the creation of the most suitable construction program, as well as finding the correct spatial arrangement and the creation of the architectural design of town houses, especially the layout of the individual floors. The study includes the principles of organization of the ground floor, courtyard, parking and the design of the adjoining public space.

Brewery in the city, the city in the brewery - architectural and urban redevelopment of a brewery in Znojmo

The solved site is located in the historic town of Znojmo, on the site of the former castle. Its unique position not only adds significant urban areas, but are an integral part of the city skyline. There is one of the most important monuments in the country, Rotunda of St. Catherine (annually visited by tourists to 20000) and former brewery Hostan. The operation ended here and the city bought the land with buildings. There is now the question of what to do with the place and where to get funds for its cultivation. The main idea is to expand the urban areas and the structure of the brewery premises. The spatial concept is based on a pedestrian street leading from the entry of the city to the rotunda, lined with town houses and buildings with shops, housing and services. The aim is to maintain the existing street brewery trail as part of the development and create space for a typical town of Znojmo. South route would remain in its original state, would continue to serve as a lookout trail flowing into the area around the rotunda, accompanied only by peaceful summer terrace offering views of the surrounding area. Around the rotunda is created a cultivated park area used for recreation and offering beautiful views of the surrounding area. Thanks to the closed square and the location of the rotunda it becomes the dominant area. Northern route would be connected with the area by the stairs from the panoramic terrace. It could thus become a valuable space that would serve to stay and rest. It is important to the influx of new services also solve the parking, which will be located in the parking house. There are parking stacker designed to minimize space requirements. This will ensure the required parking space without negatively affecting the street spaces. Panorama of small buildings will be revived by integrating with the surrounding with the recovery of its original landmark - the tower. It will be part of the former Northern Justice, which will be used as a park area designated for sport and recreation. The tower would serve the prospect of an observatory on top of offering the prospect of the surrounding area during the day and evening look at the night sky. The square will be closed by parking house, which will conclude the street Přemyslovců composition. All necessary utilities will be held in Castle Street.

LAUSANNE – PLAINES DU LOUP: sustainable city development

Housing in the city, in the Plaines du Loup district of Lausanne in Switzerland. The clear goal of the assignment adds a primary school as another point of solution, considering the school as an extension of housing. Furthermore, the assignment is extended by the design of the neighboring park. The project deals with the design of a city block, based on the relationship between school, housing and public space. The project is based on an urban study by Tribu architects, ranging from a comprehensive urban concept to the architectural design of a school and apartment buildings. The effort to create a pleasant living environment is intertwined with all parts of the project.

Hranice – redefinition of urban structure

This diploma project deals with a proposal for a new movie theater in the city of Hranice. The aim of this project is to explore the possibilities of cinema architecture, emphasizing the variability of the design solution. The cinema is viewed not as an object with one set function, but as a variable cultural space that plays important part in the cultural life of not only smaller towns. Important part of the design is also the scale - scale of the different events, the town itself as well as its society. There has been a broader redefinition of the urban structure and study of the surrounding development that preceded the cinema design itself, with emphasis on the 1. máje street and proposed linear park. New building of the movie theater corresponds with the proposed regulatives of the future development and cooperates with the newly proposed library, with which it creater new culturaly- educational center of the town.

Completion of the city block - Křížová street

This bachelor project focuses on completion of the city block and architectural plan of two selected town houses. The first step is finding a suitable spatial arrangement and construction programme. The study conforms to the street modification designed by the winner of second place in the ideas competition on Mendel Square (2018). The next step is creating an optimal layout of each floor. The architectural study comprises of organizing the parterre and connected public space, designing the courtyard and parking spaces.
