Optimization of the reverse logistics system for beverage packaging in the Czech Republic

The thesis deals with the System of reverse logistics of beverage packaging in the Czech Republic. In the first part, the author of the thesis deals with the theoretical background and clarification of concepts related to the topic. The practical part compares the systems of reverse logistics of beverage packaging in selected countries with the Czech Republic, the attitude of Mattoni towards the advance system and an analysis of the impact of the advance system on selected municipalities. Using the research methods that the author used in the thesis, the optimization of the reverse logistics system for the Czech Republic is finally proposed.

This bachelor’s thesis deals with reverse logistics in a selected company. Based on the theoretical part I analyse the current state of reverse logistics activities within the company. In this thesis, I examine the logistics chains within the company, and continue to address the issue of waste management. The aim of this thesis is to propose corrective measures that optimize the amount of waste material and ensure a more efficient flow of reverse logistics activities.

The third part contains proposals for improving the waste recycling system at the Raiffeisenbank branch in Olympia and an evaluation of achieved results.

This diploma thesis is focused on the study of reverse logistics in the selected company. The subject of this analysis is MSV Metal Studenka, a.s., which produces components for rail vehicles. Diploma thesis is devided into three parts. The first part is focused on theoretical basis. The second part continues with introduction of the company and analysis of logistic processes, with ephasis on reverse logistics. In the third part there are presented suggestions, which should lead to the improvement of the reverse logistics processes.

The next part analyses current situation in company MANN + HUMMEL (CZ) v.o.s. regarding purchased plastic components from czech suppliers packaging management (costs calculation). Following are suggestions regarding process improvement by implementing returnable packaging to purchased plastic components from czech suppliers supply chain and preliminary cost calculation in case the implementation is carried out.
