Development of musicial abilities of children of preschool age through chosen musical instruments
ŠTEFÁNIKOVÁ, Kristina
This bachelor thesis deals with the development of musical skills in preliminary education with the support of specified musical instruments. This thesis contains four extended parts. The first part covers a formal characteristic of preschool age from a psychical, mental, emotional and social aspect. The influence of games on this development period is also covered here. The next chapter hosts the structure of musical skills. They can be comprised into eight separate categories: musical auditory skills, rhythmic sense, tonal sense, harmonic sense, musical memory, musical imagination, musical thinking as well as musical creative abilities. The third part of this thesis covers the musical evolvement of preschool children. The closing part deals with the process of designing and making simple musical instruments from available materials. It also presents suggestions for activities featuring musical instruments to further improve musical skills.
The role and meaning of music education in the pre-primary education.

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of musicality development in kindergarten. The theoretical part deals with the curricular documents of preschool education, preschool education, all musical activities in kindergarten, then the musical development of the preschool child and the influence of the family environment on the musicality of children. The theoretical part also clarifies concepts such as musicality, musical skills and musical ability. The practical part contents screenings of children's skills applicated at the beginning and the end of my kindergarten engagement. This is followed by an evaluation of the screening and a comparison of the children's progress in musical and non-musical skills. The views and observations of the teachers from the particular class of children tested are included.
Development of music through playing the accordion

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the development of the musicality of preschool children using the accordion playing. It introduces this musical instrument, describes the musical development of a preschool child, mentions musical development in kindergarten and the most commonly used musical activities there. A significant part of the bachelor's work consists specific musical activities. The accordion is used in here. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to get acquainted with this musical instrument, to present specific musical activities aimed at the musical development of preschool children.

Teacher's musical skills in pre-school education

Quality music education, motivation and support from managers can affect the quality of music activities. Teachers are often discouraged due to the time-consuming and difficulties in acquiring good quality music education however, musical activities affect the overall development of a preschool child and their frequency and quality depend on the preschool teacher. When educating music in any form, the teacher encounters problems associated with the implementation of musical activities. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to draw attention to the importance of musical skills, abilities and knowledge of preschool teachers and to map the risks affecting musical activity in the educational offer in connection with the musical skills of the teacher. The research was conducted using a questionnaire survey among preschool teachers. In the evaluation of the research survey, it was found that the negative aspects of musical activity mainly affect newly qualified teachers. By gaining experience, these risks are mitigated or even lost.
Development of musicality students at elementary school

The bachelor thesis is focused on musicality as a concept, the development of which is influenced by external and internal aspects. The development of musicality, ie musical abilities, can be created through musical activities. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the definition of musicality, motivation and relation to music it also points out the musical development of man and psychological musical concepts that are associated with musicality. In the field of music psychology, it deals with the development of musical abilities through musical activities that are used in primary schools. Deviations that may occur in music are also mentioned, they are a disorder of musical abilities and higher manifestations of music. In its practical part, this bachelor's thesis focuses on a fun and educational form of developing musical skills and activities in practice.
Structure and Research of Out-Of-School Influences on the Musical Development of the Child

The Diploma Thesis deals with the matters of children's musicality and the main factors influencing it. The thesis includes a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part focuses on the musicality issue and its structure, as well as on the factors that participate in this matter. Special attention is put to the out-of-school influences on the development of musicality. There is an outline of the influence of a family and its members, characteristics of a contemporary family and a present-day lifestyle. The thesis also deals with a social group influence and the impact of mass media, such as television, computers and the Internet. One of the subchapters is dedicated to the out-of-school artistic interests of children; another one deals with how music around us can act in a form of commercials, or in a store, for example. The practical part of this thesis is formed through a research oriented to the out-of-school influences mentioned above. This research was held at Libčická Primary School, Prague. The research included a questionnaire; the next step was a musical ability test, which later served to the elaboration of case studies of selected children.
