Socioekonomické aspekty integrace Ukrajinců v České republice
DANIELOVÁ, Linda
This thesis focuses on selected socio-economic aspects of the integration of Ukrainians in the Czech Republic. The thesis was prepared as part of Project No. 101/2022/S on Selected Aspects of Integration of Foreigners Living in the Czech Republic and Their Relationship to Social Work. The aim of this thesis was to identify and analyze selected socio-economic aspects related to the integration of Ukrainians in the Czech Republic. This goal was achieved through the use of a quantitative research strategy and a questionnaire survey method. The questionnaire was created by combining questions of the author's own construction and questions taken from previous research by Vacková et al., (2016) and Vacková et al., (2016). The research sample for this thesis consisted of Ukrainian immigrants living in the Czech Republic, and 158 Ukrainian questionnaires were collected and analyzed. Quantitative data was processed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 28.0 and analyzed using the Statistical Analysis of Social Data (SASD) program version 1.4.10. The data was further graphically processed in MS Excel. The analysis was conducted based on the first and second levels of sorting. In the first level of sorting, frequency tables were constructed for each indicator, and absolute and relative frequencies and measures of central tendency (mode, median, mean, variance, standard deviation, range, estimated variance and standard deviation, and confidence interval for the mean and variance at the 0.05 level) were calculated. The second level of sorting involved constructing contingency tables with absolute and relative frequencies. Three hypotheses were tested within the research. The first hypothesis demonstrated a statistically significant relationship between respondents' subjective evaluation of their ability to speak Czech and their economic status (p<0.001). Similarly, a statistically significant association was found between understanding written Czech text and economic status (p<0.001). Moreover, a statistically significant relationship was established between subjective evaluation of writing in Czech and economic status (p<0.05). The ability to understand spoken Czech was also found to be statistically significant in relation to economic status (p<0.001). Furthermore, satisfaction with one's knowledge of the Czech language was statistically significant concerning economic status (p<0.01). The second hypothesis was confirmed, as there was a statistically significant relationship between the length of stay in the Czech Republic and engaging in managerial activities (p<0.05). The third hypothesis indicated a statistically significant association between the subjective evaluation of the difficulty of finding work in the Czech Republic and the timing of arrival in the country (p<0.05). This last hypothesis was also confirmed. A practical recommendation is to focus on the knowledge of the Czech language for newly arrived and existing immigrants who are part of the Czech labor market. This applies not only to employers who employ Ukrainian residents but also to organizations that come into contact with foreigners (e.g., the Advisory Center for Foreigners and Migrants or the Center for Support of Foreigners).

Integration of people with serious mental illness into the open labour market
Syrovátková, Adéla ; Novák, Petr (advisor) ; Cooke, Dana (referee)
Diploma thesis "Integration of People with Mental Illness into the Open Labour Market" discusses the possibilities and conditions of employment in the open labour market for people with schizophrenia in the Czech Republic (focus on Prague 11+4). The paper first introduces the concept of "mental illness" from a theoretical point of view. In my work I first introduce this illness theoretically, I also use professional information from my practice and especially from my more experienced colleagues. I believe that drawing on the perspective of my clients and that of the professional staff is the most appropriate, as they have direct experience of it. In this thesis I conducted qualitative research, interviewing seven people who suffer from mental illness with whom the service has an established relationship. In the form of a questionnaire and a structured interview, I asked the patients, for example, how they perceive their life with mental illness, what difficulties they face in their life and how they manage to integrate into a "healthy" society, especially into employment on the open labour market.

To answer these questions, a comparative analysis and a case study were used. These methods compare trends and developments in the automotive industry in Canada and Mexico and the impacts on the automotive industry. Cyž, Jan ; Dobiášová, Karolína (advisor) ; Jelínková, Marie (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the integration of Ukrainian war refugees from the beginning of the war in Ukraine (February 2022) to the end of 2023. The aim of this thesis is to identify the transformation of policy design in the field of integration policy, which has been implemented towards the target population of Ukrainian war refugees, with whose mass influx the Czech Republic has had to deal with from the beginning. The thesis tries to identify the influence of the resulting policy design according to the proposed tools and narrative statements of members of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic towards the target population of Ukrainian war refugees on the basis of the application of the Theory of Social Construction of Target Populations. The research is carried out in the form of a case study in which the primary source of data is in the form of stenographic records from the Chamber of Deputies and these records are analysed afterwards. From the results of the thesis, certain thematic narrative frameworks are evident and a positive social construction (human rights and economic framework) or a negative social construction (security) towards the target population of Ukrainian war refugees is attributed there on the basis of which policy design was enforced in the...
Legal and socio-economic integration of ethnic Germans in Austria from 1945 to 1955
Štolová, Tereza ; Klípa, Ondřej (advisor) ; Konrád, Ota (referee)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the legal and socio-economic aspects of the integration of ethnic Germans in Austria during the years 1945-1955. The methodology of this work involved compiling available secondary sources, including historical studies, academic articles, books, and documents related to the integration of ethnic Germans in Austria during the aforementioned period. The thesis aims to answer how the displaced group of ethnic Germans from Central and Eastern Europe was integrated into Austria's legal system and its socio- economic sphere. Ethnic Germans were not included in international law and refugee protection in the early post-war years by any of the organizations addressing these issues, leaving all integration efforts to the Austrian government. However, Austria began to identify itself as the first victim of Nazi Germany, relieving the government of legal and financial obligations towards displaced ethnic Germans. The Austrian government began addressing the issue of integrating ethnic Germans in 1950. The first impulse was the establishment of an advisory board for refugee issues at the Ministry of the Interior in August 1950. The initial agreements of the board served as a basis for improving the social and economic conditions in the lives of ethnic Germans. In the...
