Vokáčová, Zuzana ; Hlinovská, Jana (advisor) ; Řasová, Kamila (referee)
The main objective: To empirically assess the impact of integrating therapy incorporating elements of music and dance into a comprehensive rehabilitation plan for neurological patients, with a focus on its effects on their balance, gait, self- reliance, and psychological well-being compared to a control group. Methods: In a non-randomized experimental study, two groups will experience a comprehensive neurological program following the standard protocol of FTN in Prague. The experimental group will receive additional therapy incorporating music and dance elements (2-3 times a week, 8 sessions over 4 weeks, each lasting 40 minutes). Participants will undergo pre - and post-program testing, with analysis comparing results between groups using a two-sample t-test, and within-group changes using a paired t-test. Results: Improvements in balance and gait in Tinetti test were seen in both groups, but the differences weren't statistically significant, making it unclear which group improved more. Other gait tests (TUG test and 6 MWT) showed no significant changes. Both groups saw significant improvement in self-efficacy measured by the FIM scale, with the control group showing a superior improvement. Psychological evaluation also improved in SF-36 in both groups, but without statistical significance. Thus,...

The research intervention involved exercise interventions for each group, utilizing developmental kinesiology principles for one group and simple stretching for the other. Interventions were conducted twice a week under professional supervision and once a week at home under parental supervision, over a period of 5 months. Data collection methods included observation, examination of shortened muscles, selected tests according to Kolář, and balance tests based on the MABC-2 testing battery. Results: The results indicated that the first group, which performed exercises based on developmental kinesiology,...
Perspective of physiotherapy on barefoot walking
Macháčková, Lucie ; Kejhová, Eva (advisor) ; Jeníček, Jakub (referee)
This theoretical-research bachelor thesis focuses on the impact of barefoot walking on the musculoskeletal system from a physiotherapy perspective. The theoretical part of the thesis presents a current overview of the issue of barefoot walking. It examines the impact of footwear on the foot, differences between walking in regular shoes and barefoot walking, the transition to barefoot walking and its associated positives, risks, and contraindications. The work also addresses the issue of so-called barefoot shoes. Barefoot walking is considered one of the most effective ways to strengthen the leg muscles and improve their shock-absorbing capacity. It also contributes to maintaining the proper morphology of the foot, to higher sensorimotor control, and to reducing the risk of foot deformities and infections. The result of the special part of the thesis is in the format of a systematic review, which included a total of twenty clinical studies. The goal was to determine the impact of barefoot walking on various areas of the musculoskeletal system, to be able to comprehensively assess its benefits and possible risks. A large part of the included studies showed positive impact of barefoot walking, on the muscles of the lower limbs and the pelvic floor, the muscles of the back and neck, as well as on the arch of...

Gross motor skills in children with hearing impairment in preschool age
Vrtišková, Eliška ; Komorná, Marie (advisor) ; Kotvová, Miroslava (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of gross motor skills in children with hearing impairment in preschool age. In order to understand the relationship between hearing impairment and gross motor skills, the first chapter describes the anatomy of the auditory organ. Hearing impairment, its division and compensation options are then defined. The second chapter characterizes motor skills and individual psychomotor development milestones with an emphasis on preschool age. The last chapter summarizes the findings of some foreign research dealing with this topic. The practical part provides data on the state of gross motor skills in children with hearing impairment. For this purpose, ten hearing-impaired probands underwent two different test batteries. The results of the first were compared with the expected age of task acquisition, and the results of the second were compared with the score of two control groups taken from two diploma theses. The obtained data showed a lower level of motor skills in children with hearing impairment compared to intact children. The findings are described in more detail in the discussion together with the answers to the research questions. KEYWORDS Gross motor skills, hearing impairment, balance, preschool age
Analysis of the relationship between balance and power-dynamic abilities of the lower limbs of football players
Malata, Marek ; Pavelka, Jan (referee) ; Kundera, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis examines the relationship between balance and lower limb strength-dynamic ability in soccer players. The aim is to determine whether the assumption of better balance leads to a faster and more powerful shot. The theoretical part describes the rules of soccer, the demands on soccer players, technologies used in training and matches, as well as trends in the sport. Within this section, shooting in soccer, factors influencing shooting, and training possibilities will be described. Additionally, balance, its types, and improvement possibilities will be discussed. In the practical part, we will assess the stability of soccer players using the Biodex Balance System, measure the kick speed with the Stalker ATS II sports radar, and evaluate their correlation.
Rhythms of restlessness
Hudecová, Stanislava ; Kadlčák, Šimon (referee) ; Mikyta, Svätopluk (advisor)
In my bachelor thesis Rhythms of restlessness I adress, through personal associations and memories, the themes of work ethics and the capitalist-oriented culture of today's society. In an installation made up of a series of objects and drawings embedded within them, I materialize my intimate attitudes or feelings by combining moments from memories with moments from everyday routine activities that are an overlooked part of our everyday "autopilot" functioning. The office chair here acts as a memory, metaphor or symbol of working, and its various manipulations across the installation carry references to my associations associated with this phenomenon. Through this work, I explore the relationships of my immediate surroundings to what it means to function in today's success-oriented rather than happiness-oriented time, and it also serves as a way for me personally to become aware of my own place in the context of my artistic practice. The work builds on my previous projects, in which I have often explored themes of my own intimacy and psychology in the context of functioning in today's world. It is closely related to my most recent work entitled Bedroom Routines, which metaphorically worked through domestic routines and moments, following a stylized character who is my "avatar" in the work.
The use of unstable surfaces in physiotherapy for people with osteoporosis
HRAZDIROVÁ, Nikola
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of osteoporosis. Osteoporosis is a chronic bone disease that affects postmenopausal women and older people. One of the important factors in the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis is regular exercise, which can be done with the help of balance platforms. These platforms offer an unstable surface that activates the muscles of the deep stabilization system, improving balance and stability of the body. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part I describe the anatomy of bones, characteristics of osteoporosis, examination and treatment. I also discuss the topic of sensorimotor stimulation, history, performance, tools, deep stabilization system and balance. The practical part of the study was developed by means of qualitative research in which three patients with diagnosed osteoporosis. Data collection was in the form of case studies, the components of which included anamnesis, input and output kinesiological analyses (containing several tests), posturograph and podoscope examinations. In addition, there is a description of the therapies that took place about 9 weeks. I have set three goals for my work. To chart the issues of people with osteoporosis. Then to build an exercise routine on unstable surfaces. Finally, to create an educational booklet with exercises for osteoporosis patients. My work will focus on the importance of an individual approach to the issues of people with osteoporosis. The work can be used in the clinical practice of physiotherapists or can be used for people who have been diagnosed with osteoporosis.
