Aplikace apriorních odhadů chyby pro metodu konečných prvků pro zjemnění sítě poblíž singularity v proudění vazké nestlačitelné tekutiny
Šístek, J. ; Burda, P. ; Novotný, Jaroslav
In the paper we describe application of apriori error estimates for generation of finite element mesh near singularity for accurate solution of the Navier-Stokes equations.

Bunganič, Radovan ; Růžička, Marek ; Drahoš, Jiří
This article deals with some aspects of modelling gas-liquid systems.
Počítačová simulace hydrodynamického chování 3D elektrody
Křišťál, Jiří ; Jiřičný, Vladimír
In recent years, three-dimensional electrodes have been widely studied. In this design the cathode is formed by a slow-moving packed bed of metal particles. The advantage of this set-up is the continuous recovery of interfacial area between growing particles and the electrolyte. To achieve the proper particle size distribution and also to prevent apparatus breakdown due to bed plugging, it is essential to retain the mass-flow of particles. We focus on the design of three dimensional electrodes in which the mass flow will occur under a wide range of conditions. In the preliminary phase of our research, we use CFD package Fluent to study the hydrodynamic behaviour of a multiphase flow in a rectangular channel. For validation of numerical models, experiments for determination of real particle velocity profiles are carried out.
New experimental facility for investigation of transonic flow in radial inflow turbine cascades
Dvořák, Rudolf ; Luxa, Martin
The contribution deals with new experimental facility for investigation of transonic flow in radial inflow turbine cascades.
Numerické řešení transsonického turbulentního proudění v turbínové mříži
Kozel, K. ; Louda, P. ; Příhoda, Jaromír
The transonic flow through a two-dimensional turbine blade cascade was numerically simulated. The mathematical model of the transonic flow is based on the implicit AUSM finite volume method and a two-equation SST turbulence model. Results were compared with experimental data
Numerické řešení proudění v zakřivených difuzorech s kruhovou vnitřní stěnou
Sládek, A. ; Hyhlík, T. ; Příhoda, Jaromír
The optimisation of the rectangular cross-section diffuser with 90 deg bend was carried out using the FLUENT 6.0 software. The aim was to minimize energy losses in the curved diffuser with three parameters: radius of the inner cylindrical wall, and two parameters describing the distribution of the channel width.

The proceedings contain the contributions presented at the conference Topical Problems of Fluid Mechanics organised in the framework of ERCOFTAC.
Design of the Blow-down wind tunnel arrangement for the research of the channel-flow with backward facing step
Jonáš, Pavel
The design and reasoning of the blow-down wind tunnel modification are described in the paper. The outlet section has dimensions 0.25m x 0.1m.
