Collocation method for Laplace equation
Moses, Pavel
We present solution of Laplace equation using collocation method and boundary elements.
Optical measurement of the two-dimensional flow field in the model of the regulating valve in different phases of the plug trajectory
Vlček, Václav ; Luxa, Martin
The interferometric method was used for visualization of the flow field in the valve. Images were recorded by a photocamera, the system triggering and the flash and samera shutter are controlled acording to the position of the plug using a LabViews programme. Miniature pressure transducer probes were used to obtain information corresponding to the losses and pressure fluctuations in the near field of the vibrating plug.
Measurement and computation of acoustic characteristics of a simplified vocal tract model for phonation of vowel /a/
Kryštůfek, J. ; Vampola, T. ; Horáček, Jaromír ; Veselý, Jan
The paper is focused on experimental verification of 3D modeling of the acoustic characteristics of human vocal tract for phonation of vowel /a/ by the finite element method. The computational and experimental modal analyses were carried out on the mathematical and physical models of the vocal tract. The acoustic pressure computed by transient analysis in time domain is compared with measured resonant characteristics in frequency domain.
Volumetric model of human vocal folds
Vampola, T. ; Horáček, Jaromír
The article describes the vollumetric 3D FE model of real human vocal folds in a defined phonation position. The model was developed from the CT images of the plaster casts obtained by a special procedure during experiments with the excised human larynges, when the phonatioon caused by the airflow was suddenly stopped without changing the position of the fixed larynx. The model is determined for studies of dynamical stresses in the vocal fold tissue during vocal folds collisions.
Předběžné výsledky modelování rázové napjatosti hlasivek s použitím aeroelastického modelu produkce hlasu
Horáček, Jaromír ; Laukkanen, A. M. ; Šidlof, Petr
Voice problems are kown to be common among voice professionals, e.g. teachers. More information is needed on biomechanical forces related to voice production in order to be able to set safety limits for voice use in various professions. Impact stress, defined as the impact force divided by the contact area of the vocal folds, is an important variable in quantifying the mechanical load posed on the vocal fold tissue during voice production.
The cotrol of the axial stabilization of the electromagnet for the rotor on contactless bearings
Synek, Luděk ; Vaněk, František ; Kozánek, Jan
This paper proposes a method for the position continuos control of electromagnetic actuator. Generally the power amplifier for the control of electro-magnetic force is used PWM invertor into two types, which are full-bridge type and half-bridge type. The controller is consisted from a current feedback and a position feedback.
Spectral identification of ATUR rotor on aerodynamic bearings
Kozánek, Jan ; Veselý, Jan ; Říha, I. ; Šafr, M.
In this paper the spectral identification of the rotor on aerodynamic tilting-pad bearings is presented. The identified resonances correspond to the calculated critical speeds from mathematical model and real parts of eigenvalues give us the additional iformation about the stability margin.
