Hydrodesulfurization NiMo Catalysts over Mechanochemically Prepared Gamma-Alumina.
Kaluža, Luděk ; Jirátová, Květa ; Tyuliev, G. ; Palcheva, R. ; Koštejn, Martin ; Spojakina, A.
The aim of the present work is to explore optimum preparation route of NiMo catalysts for the novel mechanochemically prepared Al2O3 in order to achieve high HDS activity. Specifically, the goals are: i) to up-scale the support synthesis to provide sufficient amount ofAl2O3, ii) to deposit NiMo from solutions of highly soluble precursors by conventional impregnation techniques (I), i.e. sequential impregnation using Mo (first) and Ni (second), and by co-impregnation (Ni+Mo together), i.e. using chelating agent NTA or nickel heteropolyoxomolybdate (HPO), iii) to deposit NiMo from solutions ofslightly soluble precursors by slurry impregnation (SI).\n

Ethylene Oxychlorination over CuCl2/γ-Al2O3 Catalyst in Micro- and Milli-structured Reactors.
Vajglová, Zuzana ; Moro, A. ; Kumar, N. ; Eränen, K. ; Peurla, M. ; Peltonen, J. ; Murzin, D.Yu. ; Salmi, T.
In the microreactor, the 1,2-dichlorethane selectivities of 4.7% and 53.6% were achieved with the ethene conversions of 1.6% and 6.4%, respectively. The other important product was chloroethane. The formation of vinyl chloride by-product of 1.6% was observed only at the highest temperature 250 °C with highest ethene conversion achieved (6.4%). No other by-products were observed. In the millireactor, the 1,2-dichlorethane selectivities exceeding 96% were achieved at ethene conversions higher than 11% within the entire experimental range. Chloroethane, vinyl chloride, 1,2-dichloroethylene (trans) were formed, but only in minor amounts.

Sound Control of the Turbulent Axisymmetric Air Jet Suitable for Application.
Cvetinović, D. ; Jovanovic, R. ; Vejražka, Jiří ; Tihon, Jaroslav ; Nakabe, K. ; Tatsumi, K.
The subject of this paper is the submerged, round, unconfined turbulent axisymmetric jet, which issues from nozzles with different geometries and impinges to the flat heated plate positioned normally to the jet axis. The aim of experimental investigations, mathematical modeling and numerical simulations is to widely investigate properties and the vortex structures of modified and unmodified jet, that are assumed to have great importance in the heat transfer process. It is found that the vortex roll-up can be controlled by adding small amplitude modulation of the nozzle exit velocity using external source of low-amplitude oscillations or self-sustained oscillations generated in the operation of the specially designed whistler nozzles.

Pilot-scale Operation of Electrocoagulation for Removal of Toxic Metals.
Krystyník, Pavel ; Mašín, P. ; Krušinová, Z. ; Klusoň, Petr
The process was tested in pilot-scale unit placed in movable container and operated in continuous regime. The results have shown that the removal efficacies are strongly dependent on the dose of coagulant, which is the most important and crucial parameters affecting performance of electrocoagulation and of course on other process parameters. It is also very reliant on contaminant content in treated effluent. An addition of flocculating agent was also tested on the improvements of process performance.
