	Receptor-selective enkephalin analogs Pencheva, N. ; Barth, Tomislav We investigated the opioid profiles of [Cys2]-enkephalin (enk) analogs and [D-Ala2,Leu5]-enkephalyl-Arg (dalargin) in in vitro bioassay system. The results showed that incorporation of hydrophilic Cys(O2NH2)2 into the enk molecule greatly increases the potency and selectivity of the analogs to ë-opioid receptors, while substitution of D-Ala2 and Arg6 into the molecule of [Leu5]-enk, to ć-opioid receptors.
