Adaptace adolescentů na prostředí střední školy

A theme composed in the bachelor´s work: Adaptation of adolescents to secondary school environment. The transition from elementary school to secondary school is for students very stressful period, that is why I focus mainly on school strain. In the theoretical part I define the term adolescent and his mental and physical development. Further I deal with the socializing of adolescents regarding a relationship with parents and children of the same age. The major part of the theoretical work focuses on the transition from elementary school to secondary school as such, school selection with the point of view of research, school strain, psychosocial stress and its consequences. The methods which are used for processing the theoretical part is the study of professional literature sources, creation of extracts and their analysis, comparison and synthesis. The aim of the practical part is to find out what problems arise with students in the first year of the secondary school with graduation and vocational schools. What is the school strain, what problems they have with new school work, or a community, and who solves these problems with them? These are some questions which I paid my attention to in the exploratory investigation. A questionnaire method is applied. A tool used for the data collection is a questionnaire, made for the survey purposes. Respondents are students of the first years of secondary school and students of the first year of vocational school. Data from questionnaires are compiled in tables and graphs.
