Výhody a nevýhody mikroúvěrů v případě Chile
Výzkumná otázka zní, zda komercializace mikrofinancí v Chile přinesla příležitosti a trade-off ve zmírnění chudoby v zemi. Výsledky práce ukazují, že komercializace mikrofinancí Chile skutečně přinesla příležitosti a trade-off, pokud jde o zmírnění chudoby v zemi. Práce stanovuje oblasti příležitostí, kterými jsou zvětšení rozsahu a geografického rozšíření. Naproti tomu aby došlo ke komercializaci mikrofinancování, je třeba, aby se instituce méně věnovaly nejchudším vrstvám chilské populace.
The possibility of future for South-South Cooperation on the example of Brazil’s emerging Development Assistance on the International Scale.
Babirli, Alya ; Batueva, Ekaterina (vedoucí práce) ; Inostroza Pino, Luis Ernesto (oponent)
The nature of development assistance is rapidly changing. The emergence of new rising aid donors in the international development system has raised many questions with regard to their real motivations and implications. The aid system used to have one direction, with Northern highly industrialized countries granting and providing aids for development to Southern poor regions-states. Now, the trend is changing due to the expansion of South-South Cooperation (SSC) in the international sphere, and the so-called BRIC countries are its main players due to their new economic and political potential. This thesis will investigate the traditional way of development assistance by offering definitions and types of foreign aid, applying three existing theories, namely the soft power theory of Joseph Nye Jr., the development theory of Hans Morgenthau, and Paul Rosenstein- Rodan's big push theory. The thesis will particularly focus on one of the main countries of SSC, Brazil, and will provide evidences of Brazil's capacity to become an international aid donor, and its increasing significance in the international arena.

Banfo, Marine ; Durrmeyer, Sébastien (vedoucí práce) ; Inostroza Pino, Luis (oponent)
Since the beginning of the twenty-first century, French economy as been affected by a constant and deeper trade deficit. After the financial crisis of 2009, the economy still experiences difficulties to bounce back in the context of a weakened Europe. On its side, in the early 2000s, the Latin American countries were about to go through a bright economic period. In deed, the region benefited from a rapid economic growth this last decade, with strong economies and reasonable political stability. The region is also counting with new strong economic partners like China and other Pacific Asian countries. In this work the main objective is to evaluate the trade relations between France and Latin America. I will explore the context in which those relations have been developed and their actual intensity. Then I will study the French external trade situation and the new plan the French Ministry of Trade implemented since 2012. Finally, I will develop the case of Chile and its relations with France, identifying the opportunities for both sides. Unfortunately, this specific subject is not documented by a large amount of printed literature. Thereby, this work is mainly based on statistical information published by international or regional organizations, and on transformed data collected from government or international institutions databases.
