Parking areas at BUT for energy use
Al Halabi, Enas ; Vrána, Michal (oponent) ; Paar, Martin (vedoucí práce)
The diploma thesis is focused on the concept of solar carports in parking lots for charging electric vehicles (EVs), describes their structure, configuration, and benefits. The thesis considers the potential of EVs to provide services to the power grid such as V2G, it emphasizes the need for smart charging techniques, the effects of controlled charging, and also an overview of the largest implemented project of solar carports in the Czech Republic. The main part of the thesis is the design of three solar carports for selected parking area at Brno University of Technology. The design and evaluation of solar carports equipped with charging stations for EVs are realized by using PV SOL software.
Analysis of floating photovoltaic usage in the Czech Republic
Al Halabi, Enas ; Vrána, Michal (oponent) ; Paar, Martin (vedoucí práce)
This thesis deals with floating-PV technology and its structure, components, suitable water bodies, benefits, and challenges. In addition to an overview of its history and deployment around the world, the basic evaluation of placement for FPV installation is described in this thesis. As evaluated waterbody the Nové Mlýny reservoir was selected. Moreover, a floating PV system was designed and described in this site. This study illustrates a comparative analysis that describes the structure, cost, operating environment, and power generation of a floating and a land-based PV system.
A Selected Water Area For Floating Pv Power Installation-Basic Evaluation
Al Halabi, Enas
The paper deals with floating-PV technology and conditions that have to be consideredfor chosen location for the FPV installation. The basic evaluation of placement for FPV installationis described. As evaluated waterbody the Nové Mlýny reservoir was selected.
