Infant Movement Monitor
Zahradníčková, Ludmila ; Chmelař, Milan (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
Movement monitor is a detection device for monitoring the frequency of breathing of newborns and infants. It is usually indicated to children under the one year as a support to reduce the risk associated with sleep apnoea and Sudden Death Syndrome. The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis discusses the physiology of respiration, respiratory disorders, methods of monitoring and treatment. The aim of the technical part is to design own monitoring device for detecting and evaluating the frequency of breathing. It includes a block diagram and a wiring scheme of device and a flow chart of program, which is implemented by a microcontroller.
System for contactless ultrasonic measuring of edema
Zahradníčková, Ludmila ; Čížek, Martin (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
Determination of the extent and state of a limb edema is based on information about its current volume. There are a number of methods for volume measurements. The theoretical part of this semestral thesis discusses the etiology, classification and principles of volume measurements and basic information about ultrasound and stepper motors. The practical part consists of a design of own device for a contactless limb volume measurement with ultrasonic module. It consists of a code for a microcontroller which controles the whole system including the computational operations and a real model of the system.
Contactless Limb Volume Measurement
Zahradníčková, Ludmila
Determination of the extent and state of a limb edema is based on information about its current volume. There are a number of methods for volume measurements, but they are timeconsuming, expensive or not accurate enough. The aim of the project is to design own device for a contactless limb volume measurement with an ultrasonic module. The whole positioning and scanning system is controlled by a microcontroller.
