Hubáčková, Jana ; Rolová, Gabriela (advisor) ; Votavová, Aneta (referee)
Background The using of tobacco and nicotine products causes nicotine addiction. Cigarette smoking increases the risk of cardiovascular disease and lung disease. It is involved in the development of metabolic diseases and diseases of the gastrointestinal and urogenital tract. Brief interventions in the area of smoking are carried out to reduce the risks associated with the use of tobacco products and provide decision support in quitting. Healthcare staff in the hospital setting should provide brief interventions targeting the use of tobacco and nicotine products. Currently, the topic of providing brief interventions in hospital settings is minimally researched. Objectives The objective of the research was to find out whether the medical staff carry out short interventions and to map the range of brief interventions associated with the use of tobacco products provided by the medical staff in a university hospital in Prague. Methods The research was carried out on the basis of a quantitative questionnaire survey conducted among the medical staff (doctor, general nurse and other medical staff - paramedic, nurse, practical nurse) of 3 clinics in the university hospital in Prague. Škabradová, Barbora ; Jandáč, Tomáš (advisor) ; Votavová, Aneta (referee)
Background: Mitragyna Speciosa - a plant, more commonly known as kratom, that has a history and tradition in Southeast Asia for centuries. In recent decades, it has been gaining popularity worldwide. In addition to its benefits, which include energizing, pain and stress relief, and reducing opiate withdrawal symptoms, kratom use carries health risks along with the development of addiction. Screening for impairment and design of a rehabilitation program for executive function in substance abusers from the perspective of an addictionologist
Votavová, Aneta ; Šťastná, Lenka (advisor) ; Miovský, Michal (referee)
Background: The entire research is based on the hypothesis that due to regular and long-term abuse of addictive psychotropic substances, the risk of damage to executive and cognitive functions in a given user increases. If a deficit develops, very often there is a decrease in the quality of life of the individual. The addictologist should be able to notice a deficit in his patients and, if confirmed, also intervene in the right way. Aim: The aim of the research is to create a proposal for two cognitive rehabilitation programs that could be implemented in clinical work with addictological patients. If an executive or cognitive deficit is detected in a patient, the selected programs should be able to provide high- quality and effective rehabilitation. In this way, each of the programs could bring a higher quality of life in selected patients. Another aim of the diploma thesis is to test the selected research set for damage to executive functions. The research set is divided into four groups. Each group is characterized by an abuse of a selected addictive substance or group of addictive substances. Methods: Each participant in the research set was tested through a test battery. The test battery was composed of several parts. These included frontal Assessment Battery, Pathway Test (version A, version...

An addictologist, as a specialist health care professional, should be able to create and screen executive functions from his or her professional position through a test battery. Based on the performed screening, subsequently evaluate the state of these functions in the given patients. Aim: Creating the design of the test battery of executive, or cognitive, functions that an adjunct scientist has in his remit. Validation of this test battery and its sensitivity to picking up any potential deficit in executive and cognitive function. Perform anamnestic description of selected adjunct patients, dependent on alcohol. Evaluating the effectiveness of the test battery created and recommending it if appropriate by a future research investigation. Methods: The data was obtained through a created test battery. The test battery was made up of International Physical Activity Questionnaire, Beck Depression Inventory, Beck Anxiety Inventory, Trail Making Test, Addenbrooke's Cognitive Examination, Barthel Index, The Lawton Instrumental Activities of Daily Living Scale and Dysexecutive Questionnare.
