Modern instruments in the tourism potential utilization in the administrative regions of Czechia

This diploma thesis deals with the management of tourism development and destination marketing with a focus on the latest trends in the tourism market and their adoption by the destination management organizations (DMOs) in the regions of Czechia. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the theoretical part general preconditions for successful development of incoming tourism are described and the possible use of specific electronic tools for destination marketing at the international level is outlined. The empirical part is dedicated to the critical evaluation of geographic definition of tourist regions in Czechia and geographic nomenclature in English. Tourist web portals in the Czech regions were analyzed in comparison with portals of selected regions abroad. Attention is also paid to the use of social media in destination marketing. Finally, it outlines suggestions for improving the current situation of digital destination marketing in Czech regions. THE ISSUES IN METHODOLOGY AND DATA INTERPRETATION IN STUDIES OF TOURIST ATTRACTIONS' ATTENDANCE Lukáš Nekolný Abstract Attendance belongs to the main quantitative indicators of tourism which is one of the most important sectors of human activites. Knowledge about number of visitors has substantiation in scientific research and in destination management. In this case it is essential to combine the sustainability and the economic benefits. The number of visitors (visits) is important regarding to education and media. Therefore the use of comparable methodology is appropriate before interpretation of corresponding data. The aims of this thesis after analysing methodologic risk issues are to create the recommendation and to compare data of tourist attractions. The main points of recommendation we can mark are to compare individual attractions regardless of the ownership structure and to separate counting of tour routes and counting of visitor numbers with season tickets without distorted coefficients. Management of 4* hotel in Catalonia

This thesis focuses on the management of the four-star hotel in Catalonia, Spain. It mostly analyses marketing management and revenue management indicators. The main objective of the thesis is to find out the problems in management procedure and suggest measures and solutions that could repair the economic damage the business has suffered, with the objective of being profitable. The first part provides a theoretical point of view of the hotel management. The second part is a comparative of the Spanish, and more specific, Catalonian tourism and hospitality industry market, giving also specific characteristics of the hotel. The practical part contains the analyses of the hotel management indicators, the marketing mix and the situation on the local market. The final chapter shows de outcomes of the analysis and contains recommendations to improve the actual management.
Analysis of CzechTourism foreign offices and their contribution to the tourism industry of the Czech Republic

The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the activities of the foreign offices of the CzechTourism agency in promoting the Czech Republic as an ideal tourist destination in foreign markets. The thesis defines the tourist destination and it´s management, the national tourist organizations and the marketing activities and communication tools used by the foreign offices. The last part of the thesis is dedicated to the analysis of the incoming tourism and it´s positive impact on the national economy.
Personalities of Russian history in Czech and Slovak Republic and their contribution to the development of tourism

The main objective of the bachelor's thesis was to create a special thematic route connecting attractions associated with important personalities of Russian history in Czech and Slovak Republic. First two chapters are devoted to terms in tourism, mainly terms in cultural and cognitive tourism, and characteristics of a product in the cultural tourism. In the third chapter personalities of Russian history are separatelly charactarized and their connection to the Czech and Slovak Republic is described with each attraction indicated. Next chapter is devoted to a proposal of an actual thematic route going through the territory of the Czech and Slovak Republic. At the end of the chapter one can find other proposed thematic routes. The conclusion consists of an analysis of inbound tourism from Russia and evaluation of the potential of the topic "Personalities of Russian history in Czech and Slovak Republic and their contribution to the development of tourism". The result of the thesis is a proposal of an unique thematic route going through the territory of Czech and Slovak Republic, consisting of interesting and unique attractions associated with important personalities of Russian history and culture with focus on current trends and requirements of particularly Russian tourists in inbound tourism.
Barriers of tourism development in the Czech Republic

The diploma thesis deals with the importance of tourism for the Czech Republic and barriers that hinder from its optimal development. Within the thesis, the document called "55 barriers of tourism in Czech Republic" is analysed and individual barriers are described in details. On the basis of a survey among tourism experts and specialists, the significance of these barriers was updated and evaluated.
