John Dewey: Experience and Education

This thesis deals with terms like experience and experiential learning in publications by John Dewey. The aim of this thesis is to find out how John Dewey works with issues of experiential learning. The thesis is structured in six main chapters. Each chapter is relevant to one Dewey´s book, which is related to experiential learning theory. In the first chapter, there are general thoughts of experiential learning from Experience and Nature. In the second chapter, Art as Experience is analysed, in which Dewey researches experience connected with art and aesthetics. The third chapter presents an analysis of The Child and The Curriculum, focused on curriculum from the point of experimental learning. The fourth chapter is concerned with The School and Society, in which there are obvious thoughts of experiential learning from educational and social perspective. The fifth chapter is based on Democracy and Education, where John Dewey thinks about experiential learning and its consequences for an individual in democratic society. Last chapter analyses Experience and Education, which sums up and complements the previous publications.

Motivation of Young People to Visit Salesian Youth Center - for Children and Adolescents České Budějovice

This thesis deals with the motivation of young people to visit the Salesian Youth Center for Children and Adolescents in České Budějovice. The thesis aims to find out what motivates young people aged 13-18 to visit regularly the Leisure Club Oráč in the Salesian Youth Center. The work is devided into 3 main chapters. The first chapter characterizes the facilities in the center, the second one focuses on the Leisure Club Oráč in detail and characterizes the profile of its clients. It also describes the developmental needs of its clients in terms of their potential motives leading them to the regular attendance of this club. The final chapter includes my own quantitative research using the questionnaires. The intention of this research corresponds with the above stated goal.

Strategy analysis

The aim of this thesis is to elaborate the strategic analysis of the Plzeňský Prazdroj a.s. company, i.e. to analyse both the company environment and the inner resources and abilities, to reveal strengths and weaknesses of the company and even oportunities and threats. The aim is also to identify specific merits of the firm and finally to mention strategic recommendations with regard of elaborated analysis. The whole thesis is divided into two main parts: the theoretical part, where are described methods and procedures of the strategic analysis and the application part, where these methods are applied to the Plzeňský Prazdroj a.s. company.

Finanční analýza společnosti Stock Plzeň, a.s.

Cílem práce je posouzení finančního zdraví společnosti Stock Plzeň, a.s.. Celá práce je rozdělena do dvou hlavních částí. V části teoretické jsou vysvětleny základní pojmy a teoretická východiska pro finanční analýzu, v části praktické je pak provedena samotná finanční analýza. Sledovaným obdobím jsou roky 2001 ? 2005. Jako zdroje dat byly využity především výroční zprávy společnosti.
