Comparison of Video Codecs
Urbánek, Pavel ; Svoboda, Pavel (referee) ; Bařina, David (advisor)
This thesis is aimed at analysis of video codecs and their comparison. First part of this document provides reader with the basic information on encoding and decoding process including high level description of often used algorithms. It describes codecs and the process of standardization. Second part is focused on test specifications and codecs comparsion itself including conclusion. PSNR, SSim and BD-PSNR are key methods used for comparing codecs.
Decontamination of Persons at Medical Facilites during CBR Events
Magulová, Eva ; Urbánek, Pavel (referee) ; Rosická, Zdena (advisor)
The aim of this work is the effort to bring new insight into the possibility of decontamination in healthcare facilities. In the first part are briefly explained keywords. The second part is a brief preview of the sarin attack in the Tokyo metro and the cooperation of Japanese rescue system in this event. It is followed by estimated procedure of integrated rescue system of the Czech Republic at the same event in the Czech Republic. Then is a proposal of some problems arising from improvised decontamination in the unequipped hospital and a proposal for the possible course of decontamination in a medical device.
Image Compression Using the Wavelet Transform
Urbánek, Pavel ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Bařina, David (advisor)
This thesis is focused on subject of image compression using wavelet transform. The first part of this document provides reader with information about image compression, presents well known contemporary algorithms and looks into details of wavelet compression and following encoding schemes. Both JPEG and JPEG 2000 standards are introduced. Second part of this document analyzes and describes implementation of image compression tool including inovations and optimalizations. The third part is dedicated to comparison and evaluation of achievements.
Emergency Medical Service as Component of Integrated Emergency System
Novotná, Martina ; Neklapilová, Vlasta (referee) ; Urbánek, Pavel (advisor)
Incident may be caused by the harmful effect of natural forces and phenomena caused by human activities. For dealing with situations that threaten health and property of citizens there were created the Integrated Rescue System, which is designed as a system of cooperation and coordination of components in preparation for emergencies and when conducting rescue and clean up operations to achieve rapid and effective assistance. This work deals mainly with problems of emergency medical services. The aim is to map the system of emergency medical services. It is composed as an introduction to the basic concepts of activities, legislation, EMS documentation, opportunities for cooperation with other components of the rescue system, designating a single procedure in dealing with mass EMS disability health. This is a summary of information on EMS in the CR. It also contains information about EMS in other countries
Electrical properties of organic layers for solar cells
Klosse, Patricie ; Toušek, Jiří (advisor) ; Urbánek, Pavel (referee)
The aim of this work is to measure the diffusion length and mobility of charge carriers in MEH-PPV polymer layers as a function of SiO2 nanoparticle concentration. MEH-PPV samples contained particles with volume concentrations: 0.0%; 3.5%; 6.0%; 18.5%; 25.0%. The diffusion length was measured by the surface photovoltage (SPV) method. The diffusion length for the samples with lower concentrations: 0.0%; 3.5%; 6.0% was approximately constant at about 12 nm. For samples with concentrations of 18.5%; 25.0%, the diffusion length could not be determined due to the effect of additional traps introduced by the nanoparticles. The mobility was measured by charge extraction by applying a linearly increasing photovoltage method CELIV. The mobility came out to be in the order of 1E-06 for the samples 0.0%; 3.5%; 6.0%; 18.5%; with lower nanoparticle concentration, but the mobility increased by an order of magnitude for the sample with nanoparticle concentration of 25%. This is explained by the fact that the SiO2 particles improved the material properties.
Magnetic field measurement with gaussmeter FW BELL 4090
Urbánek, Pavel ; Krčál, Vít (referee) ; Vyčítal, Václav (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the basics of magnetic field and its measurement. The field will be measured with the FW Bell 4090 instrument and depending on the success and accuracy of the measurements, the bachelor thesis should include a possible integration into teaching. The measurement of the magnetic field will be adjusted to verify whether the device parameters in accordance to the manual. The most important attributes are the accuracy of single field or multi-field measurements, the accuracy of measurements in all axes of the instrument, and measurements over a given frequency range.
