Laboratory spectroscopy for selected Krkonoše Mts. tundra vegetation species
Tomcová, Jana ; Červená, Lucie (advisor) ; Lhotáková, Zuzana (referee)
Laboratory spectroscopy for selected Krkonoše Mts. tundra vegetation species The diploma thesis is focused on testing the methodologies of measuring the reflectance of grasses from the tundra of Krkonoše Mountains (Nardus stricta, Molinia caerulea, Calamagrostis villosa). The spectoradiometer ASD FieldSpec 4 Wide-Res with added contact probe ASD Plant Probe is used for measurements. Since it is not common to measure such narrow leaves that do not cover the whole FOV, the thesis is looking for methodologies that are the most repeatable and influenced by a minimum of errors. Factors influencing the measurement results are also monitored. Furthermore, the differentiation of the studied species is observed based on their spectral properties. Based on the measured data the medians and standard deviations are calculated and compared among each other. An analysis of variance (ANOVA) is used to determine the bands where the influence of individual factors is more apparent and where the individual grasses are distinguishable. As the most suitable methodologies for measuring grasses depend on the grasses structures and properties, the best methodology is different for each of selected species. The two layer leaf measurement is most suitable for the Nardus stricta, the measurement of the abaxial sides of leaves fits...

Application of bentonite-manganese oxide composites in removal of heavy metals
Dolinská, S. ; Znamenáčková, I. ; Tomčová, J. ; Valovičová, Věra ; Vaculíková, Lenka ; Plevová, Eva
The paper is aimed on the using of non-homogeneous bentonites coated by manganese oxides for the removal of heavy metal cations from the water solutions. In the first stage Slovak natural bentonite was converted to sodium form using by Na2CO3 as the activating agent. After that the manganese oxides were precipitated on the surface of natural and sodium activated bentonite, respectively. The structural changes before and after the modifications of bentonites were characterized by X-ray diffraction analyses and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. To compare the sorption properties of the natural bentonite and modified bentonites, sorption experiments of Cd2+ from aqueous solutions were done.
Evaluation of dynamics of forest vegetation using remote sensing methods
Tomcová, Jana ; Štych, Přemysl (advisor) ; Holman, Lukáš (referee)
Evaluation of dynamics of forest vegetation using remote sensing methods Abstract The subject of the thesis is to evaluate the changes forrest vegetation using the vegetation indices. The indices were chosen to describe the changes viewed from moisture conditions, pigmentary changes and health generally. In the thesis is also evaluated the suitability of individual indices. The researched region Natinal Park Nízké Tatry was chosen based on availability of basic data. For research were used the Landsat CDR images. First the vegetation indices were calculated. Then were chosen the regions affected by wind calamity and bark beetle calamity to compare were chosen not much affected regions. The time series analysis was made for the chosen regions and the resources are displayed in graphs. Finally based on the graphs were chosen the appropriate indices to evaluate the changes in forrest vegetation. From the used indices are appropriate all exklusive FMI. FMI's development does not comply with the assumptions neither with the development of other indices. Key Words: remote sensing, changes in forrest vegetation, vegetation indices, time series analysis, Landscat CDR, National park Nízké Tatry
