Predkladaná diplomová práca sa zaoberá kritickou analýzou súčasnej situácie firmy Gorenje Slovakia, ktorá na slovenskom trhu predáva domáce spotrebiče. Analýza externého prostredia odhaľuje možné príležitosti a hrozby na trhu. Na druhej strane, analýza interného prostredia prisieva k určeniu si silných a slabých stránok, a taktiež finančného zdravia spoločnosti. Výsledky analýz sú zosumarizované v SWOT analýze. V poslednom rade sú navrhnuté odporúčania a návrhy pre zlepšenie súčasnej situácie spoločnosti.

Effectivity of Counterinsurgency in 21st century: Operational Environment of Iraq

This diploma theses looks at the how the counter-insurgency in modern era look like. The aim is to find out what were the forms how coalition forces altogether with central authority fought the rebels, specifically Al-Qaeda and Daesh. The country which is the thesis focused on is Iraq and its operation environment bound with ethnic and religious clashes. Due to the fact that coalition forces were forced to initiate two COIN operations in just a few years, the theses compare and contrast both counter-insurgency operation, since both were led by two partly different field manuals. The final aim is to evaluate the strategies using four criteria: legitimacy, localization, isolation, elimination. The analysis confronts two approaches to COIN, one from 2007, second one from 2014. The research question is: which one of these two counter- insurgency strategies could be seen as more effective? The theses should find out whether there are any lessons learned, and whether the approach of coalition forces to this topic evolved.

PharmDr. Tomáš Šimůnek, Ph.D. Title of diploma thesis: Study of exosomes as a drug delivery system in the treatment of glioblastoma Central nervous system disorders are among the most serious diseases affecting humans. They affect not only the patient's life, but also his/her surroundings. Therefore, their therapy, whether at the level of complete cure or alleviation of accompanying symptoms, is a challenge for scientific research. In our research, we focused on glioblastoma multiforme, a brain cancer not yet treatable. The main drawback in therapy is overcoming the blood-brain barrier. Exosomes, such as the body's natural nano-vesicles, have been shown to be a suitable system for delivering drugs to brain tissue. Our research has shown that by a suitable method we are able to obtain sufficient quality exosomes from macrophage and fill them very efficiently with antitumor agents paclitaxel, doxorubicin and temozolomide, while the delivered substances show higher efficacy and fewer side effects than the free form.
