Institutional safeguarding of environmental protection in the Czech Republic The aim of this thesis is to describe the importance, authority, competence and mutual relations between the authorities and institutions that protect the environment in the Czech Republic. Their duties and functions in the field of environment and development institutions shall perform all three main branches of state power. Legislative power and judicial power not to protect the environment is no special institution that would deal only with environmental protection.
