Project education as an inovative educational metod of the first grade of elementary school

The diploma thesis deals with the project education and with the project method. The theoretic part of the thesis introduces fundamental information referring to the project education, describes the project method, familiarises with the représentants of this method and with the project types and their fulfilment in education. The research part, lead by the method of action investigation, catches the attitude of the teacher's imagination about the idea of the project education - project, what kind of project teachers use most commonly and what advantages and disadvantages has the said project education from the point of view as a teacher. The questionnaire survey follows preferences and favours of the method from the point of view as a pupil and which type of project and in which subject has a pupil met frequently. The author of the thesis presents her own project, in which she verifies the characteristic features of the project method and compares the theory with her own practical experience.
