In the theoretical part this dissertation assesses the importance of emotions in life of an individual and emotional ontogenesis at pre-school level. Emotionally determining relationships and their impact on pre-school children are discussed. Research focuses on significance of a child's emotional development and ways of artistic expression of emotions. Further on, the relevancy of communication and social skills and their use in Art have been studied as well. An emphasis has been put on suggestions of the artistic activities focused on emotional development of children and on use of these activities as a means of communication. A practical component of the dissertation reviews and evaluates the activities carried out and also presents the data collected.
