Anglicisms and slang expressions in the speech of youtuber Squeezie

The present diploma thesis deals with the use of anglicisms and slang (argotic) expressions in the French language used by young people, based on the speech of the famous French youtuber Squeezie, who is understood here as a representative of said young generation, i.e. generation Z. The theoretical part defines the notion of loanwords and the specific situation for anglicisms in relation to French, from the historical influence of English on French to the types of anglicisms and language politics associated with them. It also discusses slang, or more specifically argot, its social context, word-formation processes, and the linguistic specifics of such slang in relation to the younger generation. The empirical part then provides an in-depth analysis of a selection of twenty of Squeezie's videos, identifying the number of occurrences, context of use and any thematic patterns or motivations for the use of all the anglicisms and slang terms used, drawing on the theory presented. The history and use of punctuation in the French language

This bachelor's thesis will focus on the history and use of punctuation in the French language. The first part will explain what punctuation is and what its function is. Next, the punctuation marks used in the French language will be introduced. This will be followed by a section on the history of punctuation, specifically its origin and development up to the 21st century. It will be shown how the development of this system affected the development of texts and how it influenced authors and book printing. In the next part, I will specify its modern development and describe some specific elements that arose in it, especially thanks to the Internet. The next part will be devoted to the connection of punctuation with prosody and rhetoric, and the last part will introduce punctuation marks (for example, period, comma, question mark). In this section, the correct use of these signs, their use in the French language and the specific way in which they are written will be specified.
Audiovisual documents in teaching French as a foreign language

This diploma thesis focuses on the use of audiovisual documents in teaching French as a foreign language. The aim of this thesis is to describe the ways and methods of the employment of audiovisual documents in contemporary teaching focusing on the selected range of textbooks. In the first part, the thesis resumes the development of teaching methodology putting emphasis on the methods using the audiovisual documents and the role of this teaching materials defined by the CEFRL and in its Companion Volume published in 2018. The thesis also deals with the question of planning the didactical unit including an audiovisual document and resumes its stages which lead to the development of all language skills. The second part of the thesis analyses the use of the audiovisual documents in the textbooks for children, teenagers and adults. The analysed textbooks cover all language levels existing for the target group. The analysis focuses on types and methods of the employment of the audiovisual documents. These methods, proposed in the textbooks or other additional materials, are compared to the theoretical recommendations summarized in the first part of the thesis. Specialised French - French for the didactisation of mathematics

The master's thesis is devoted to the specialized French needed for the didacticisation of mathematics in the Czech-French sections of grammar schools. The primary objective is to identify the vocabulary necessary for teaching mathematics at grammar schools and to create a bilingual database of mathematical terminology. The sub-objective is to describe the content differences of mathematics teaching in Czech-French classes compared to general classes and to capture the formal differences between Czech and French mathematics. In order to put the topic in context, the theoretical part first introduces the reader to the development of foreign language teaching, then three methods of linking foreign language with the teaching of a non- language subject are presented. Specifically, the CLIL method, language immersion and bilingual education. Subsequently, the concept of studying in Czech-French sections is described in more detail. In the practical part, firstly, space is devoted to the findings regarding the teaching of mathematics in French, which were obtained during interviews with francophone mathematics teachers from all four grammar schools offering this type of education in the Czech Republic. Annotation: Title of the thesis: Gamification in teaching/learning French as a second language Abstract in English This master's thesis focuses on the innovative field of gamification and its application in teaching French as a second foreign language. Gamification, whose elements are gradually implemented into teaching through modern pedagogical approaches, is examined in detail in the work, defining the term itself and introducing its key aspects. The work also deals with the historical development of gamification, which is traced in both the field of marketing and education. As part of the theoretical part, potential advantages and disadvantages of using gamification in teaching are outlined. Concrete examples of successful implementation of gamification in marketing and education are also presented, providing a comprehensive view of the possibilities and limitations of this approach. The practical part focuses on a detailed analysis and reflection of specific gamification elements in the popular language application Duolingo and in two selected French language textbooks. Gender, non-binary gender identity - a linguistic and sociological approach of francophone speakers

The thesis focuses on the issue of gender, in particular its non-binary conception, and investigates how the French language and Francophone society approach this area. The core chapters examine the multifaceted aspects of gender, incorporating sociocultural perspectives and linguistic approaches. In the first chapter, the thesis briefly scrutinizes the philosophy of language and linguistic culture in general. The second chapter explains pivotal concepts related to gender and introduces diverse cultural conceptions of gender. The third chapter describes key linguistic phenomena that pose challenges to achieving neutrality within the French language. The core of the linguistic part of the thesis is the fourth chapter, with the so-called écriture inclusive, inclusive writing, which at many points offers a solution to linguistic equality. The official forms of this approach in France and Canada are presented and its guiding principles are described. In addition, the thesis incorporates a proposal for a gender-neutral solution for the French language put forth by Florence Ashley, a legal and health activist specializing in transgender issues in Canada. Title of the thesis Game as a means of developing mediation Abstract in English This diploma thesis focuses on the theme of game as a means of developing mediation. In the theoretical part it discusses the notion of mediation, its concept in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages and its Companion Volume, the means and forms of mediation, the importance of mediation in foreign languages teaching. Major emphasis is placed on theme of mediation activities (mediation communication, mediating a text, mediating concepts). Moreover, the theoretical part concerns the issus of games, their definition from a didactic point of view and points to the mutual aspects of games and mediation. In the practical part, it focuses on analysis of specific games developing mediation. The games are classified according to what mediation activity they develop. For each game it is described minutely how it develops the given mediation activity. These games could be used as teaching materials for teachers or be an inspiration for their own formation. he Bachelor thesis deals with the topic of interpersonal communication. The bachelor's thesis aims to focus on communication and expression differences between male and female genders. It summarizes the most important findings from this field, from literature and scientific articles. Our focus is also in contextualising our work in socio-linguistic fields, dealing with society, language and communication processes. A secondary objective is also to determine whether any expressive differences are innate or learned. The Bachelor thesis is divided into Chapter 7 chapters. In the first chapter, we deal with language and communication. We outline the first differences in communication. In the next three chapters, we focus on scientific disciplines dealing with the differentiation of society, but also with language and communication. These are sociolinguistics, psycholinguistics and anthropolinguistics. In other chapters, we are dealing with language production and the gender heterogeneity of speech. We look for differences and influences that affect our speech and communication. In the last chapter we focus on qualitative research, observation, which is focused on several dozen communication situations mostly from French backgrounds.
