Autonomous tool for measuring audiogram and frequency masking
Pachel, Jakub ; Sigmund, Milan (referee) ; Malucha, Jan (advisor)
The first half of the bachelor's thesis is focused on the theory of sound, it deals with the description of human hearing, some of hearing impairments and their impact on the hearing threshold, a description of simultaneous masking, and the introduction of hearing test methods. The second half introduces an audiometer's design and block diagram for pure-tone audiometry, which was programmed in the MATLAB development platform. Furthermore, the thesis presents the measurement results of the audiometer for five subjects. Finally, it describes how the program was supplemented with a graphical user interface with the possibility of adding masking tones and noises into the measurement process.
Web support of the course MEID
Glassl, Jiří ; Vídenka, Rostislav (referee) ; Sigmund, Milan (advisor)
The development of the Internet as a means of offering services (information sources), are developing means for presenting services to users online. Service is called everything that gives users the opportunity to educate, entertain the possibility of trade and of course meet new people. Means are programming languages and programming environments. The project aims to use these resources and create a website that would serve as an electronic support in the subject Elektronic Deutsch. Content sites is also information relating to the German language as well as test. Test is to assess the student's options for the successful completion of the course in Elektronic Deutsch.
Multimedia language support of DSP in German
Škůrek, Pavel ; Vídenka, Rostislav (referee) ; Sigmund, Milan (advisor)
The aim of the work is to provide a German speaking student with a simple and well-arranged list of terms, that appear in the sphere of mathematics, physics and the digital signal processing. Each terms are not explained in a difficult way. Mostly, there is only the basic definition, what the term means, or his function. This mean that this work can´t be taken as a textbook, but only a first aid for a funbling student. The work id divided into 3 databases. The first database Mathematik contains the list of all mathematical terms and relations at the level of secondary school. The database contains these chapters: Grundbegriffe, Mathematische Logik, Funktion, Trigonometrie des rechtwinkligen Dreiecks, kongruennte Darstellung im Ebene, ähnliche Darstellung im Ebene, Trigonometrie, komplexen Zahlen, Logarithmus, Vektor, analytische Geometrie, Folge, Differenzrechnung und Integralgleichung, Matrizen, Determinante, Kombinatorik a Wahrscheinlichkeit. The second database Physik contains the basic physical quantities, the student should know before entering the university. The database contains these chapters: Kinematik, Dynamik, Mechanik der starken Körper, Mechanik der Flüssigkeit, Elektizität, Magnetismus, Optik and Thermodynamik. The last database DSP is divided into 4 parts. It is divided by functionals blocks of each transmission and it is explaining each terms. They are Antialiasing, Analog-digital Wandler, Digital-analog Wandler and Spektral analysis. By this database, there is well-arranged czech - german and german - czech dictionary. These 3 databases are worked by the programm C++ Builder. The user can open each databese separately. All databases contain functions like for example searching, viewing the terms by tree structure, similar themes and so on. In the last database the user can add and change his own terms.
Creation and processing of signal database
Glett, Jiří ; Šebesta, Vladimír (referee) ; Sigmund, Milan (advisor)
The work become acquainted with history and rise databases globally. Construes philosophy structuralization, sorting and purpose using. Work further deal with concrete databases softwares intended directly to processing audio signals. Further treat of programmes that the make possible generation personal database structures. Work deal about SUSAS database and analysing its content. It is created self database of music signals, which includes several musical groups always similar in certain aspect. Speech database contains records from the SUSAS database and records from television programs, reality-shows, sports broadcasts, reports and documents, when speakers are subjected to stress and emotions. The work is a database program that can effectively classify all records and processes. The database can be freely extended. The resulting program was realized into Czech and English version.
Detection of alcohol in speech signal
Kupka, Petr ; Holčík, Jiří (referee) ; Sigmund, Milan (advisor)
The diploma thesis Detection of Alcohol in Speech Signal first describes the effect of alcohol on the human body. The second part deals with ways to obtain parameters that describe the speech signal. The third part provides a brief overview of previous case studies and patents focused on the detection of alcohol in the speech signal. The fourth part presents the collected own database of voice recordings and developed software application for the analysis of intoxicated speech. The final part describes the measured changes in speech signal parameters that indicate alcohol intoxication.
Multimedia support of the course BSIS
Pasečný, Jan ; Šebesta, Vladimír (referee) ; Sigmund, Milan (advisor)
This paper takes aim at creating a consistent form of study materials, supplemented with illustrative examples, for Signals and systems subject. The thesis starts with basic characteristics of acoustic, image, biological and communication signals. Characteristics of linear signals and AD&DA conversion has been added to the next part and to complete the submission, discrete signals follow. Diploma thesis as a whole contains basic theoretical description of problematics, which it tries to supplement with interesting examples, connections, graphs and matlab scripts for illustrative presentation of mentioned problematics.
Acoustical analysis of mechanical watsches
Dohnal, Marek ; Balík, Miroslav (referee) ; Sigmund, Milan (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the analysis of the characteristics of mechanical watches on the basis of their sound. There are theoretically analysed usual mechanical defects and disorders of watches and compensation of those defects. Particular attention is given to disorders, that can be extracted from the recorded acoustic sound of watches. There are also solved most appropriate methods of recording with a respect to the minimisation of ambient acoustic interference. The main part of this work is experimental measurement on watches and evaluation of achieved acoustic data. For this purpose, an autonomously running software were developed.
Estimation of pitch period
Matuštík, Daniel ; Tučková, Jana (referee) ; Sigmund, Milan (advisor)
This diploma thesis with estimation of pitch period of the human voice. The paper listed some of the methods for Estimation of pitch period and method for preprocessing and final processing of the signal after application of functions to determine the frequency of the pitch period in graphical user interface.
Acoustical detection of gunshots in the open
Hrabina, Martin ; Tučková, Jana (referee) ; Sigmund, Milan (advisor)
This work is concerned with gunshot detection and recognition. Contains overview of published works and methods used in this field. Furthermore, it lists several commercial gunshot detectors. Binary gunshot detection and recognition algorithm is proposed which discriminates between gunshot and non-gunshot sounds occuring in nature. Algorithm is tested in Matlab. Proposed algorithm is implemented in TMS320C6713 digital signal processor, achieved results are compared.
Speech signal processing in spectral domain
Pavlíček, Tomáš ; Šebesta, Vladimír (referee) ; Sigmund, Milan (advisor)
The thesis is focused on getting acquainted with methods of adapting speech signals in spectrum domain and with formants. Fist part is dealing with definition of formant, the relation between Czech language and formants, performing formant features and describing the use of formants in practice. This part includes preprocessing of signals before analysis on its own. This work contains a list of the most common methods for counting speech signals spectrum focused on estimation of spectrum by linear prediction. Practical part contains a verification of the most common methods for specifying formants, which are linear prediction coding and Fourier transformation. Next part is dealing with the description of methods used in created program. It also contains the description of functions of this program and the manual for it. In the end of this work the function of created program is verified and specified database is described.
