RNDr. Lenka Hanyková, Dr., Department of Macromolecular Physics Abstract: In this thesis, the temperature-induced phase transition in liner polymer solutins and hydrogels of semi-interpenetrating (SIPNs) and interpenetrating (IPNs) polymer networks was studied with respect to various composition, network architecture and procedure. Thermoresponsive linear polymers based on poly(vinyl methyl ether) (PVME) in water and with terc-buthyl based additives, IPNs of polyacrylamide (PAAm), poly(N -isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAm), poly(N - vinylcaprolactam) (PVCL) and IPNs and SIPNs of poly(N,N -diethylacrylamide) (PDEAAm) were investigated by the methods of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (NMR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), optical microscopy (OM) and swelling experiments. The effect of polymer concentration and presence of additives on the dynamics during the phase separation as well as interactions between the water and the polymer in aqueous solutions of PVME and PVME/additives were established. Study of molecular dynamic behaviour in mixtures water/ethanol

In the diploma work we studied mixtures of water, ethanol and poly(vinyl methyl ether) (PVME) by the methods of Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC). NMR studies of water/ethanol binary mixtures between 10 - 90 vol.% of ethanol for wide temperature range comprised chemical shifts, relaxation times, translation diusion coecients, Nuclear Overhauser Eect of ethanol spectra and calculation of hydrodynamical radii. Most of the results show extremal values around 50 vol.% of ethanol. DSC provides measurements of pure PVME, water and ethanol, then binary water/ethanol mixtures and PVME/water/ethanol mixtures in the whole ethanol concentration region and low PVME concentrations. The high concentratios of the PVME/water mixtures were prepared and measured. We obtain detailed description of PVME/water/ethanol mixtures - glass transition temperature, crystallization, melting and phase separation temperature.
Financial sources of the unversities from companies and the management influence

In the presented thesis the possibility of entering of the private sector - especially companies - into the financing of universities were investigated. Then the relationships and influences necessary to strengthen this relationship were analyzed either because of the planned reform of terciary education or attempts of companies to participate at the university managing. The condition changes have been proposed - reform of the terciary education, reducing the isolation of universities and also companies. It also outlines possible solutions, including tax breaks for companies or greater involvement of doctoral students.
