Exploring readability - a comparison of methods of text difficulty measuring

This bachelor thesis consists of two main parts. Following a short historical overview in the field, the most used readability formulæ for Czech and English languages are presented in the first part, with peeks to couple of solutions in other languages as well. Each readability measure is presented with an equation and instructions for its use. In the more practical second part, the work focuses at using or not using the formulæ on everyday basis, presents problems related to them and discusses their reliability supported by author's own measurements.
