Structurally motivated analysis of intonation downtrends in three Czech accents

This thesis pursues the topic of downtrends in Czech intonation in correlation with the geographical origin of speakers. The theoretical part is devoted to the section on the suprasegmental plateaux of the language - the intonation, the intonation variability, and mainly the intonation downtrends. It also brings a selective dialectical description of three Czech regions, which this thesis deals with: Plzeňsko, Štítecko and Břeclavsko. The practical part is targeted to the intonational analysis of the speech material (74 speakers overall), acquired in the previously mentioned regions. The average caliber of the guidelines, acquired by the application of the regressive line, were − for the given groups of speakers − compared and annotated, considering the age and sex of the respondents, (ideal) number of tacts or relative presence of the finding questions. key words: intonation, intonational downtrends, region, speaker, regressive line

Blood parasites of fish from Svalbard

This thesis reviews knowledge about diversity of blood parasites of fish. Blood smears of fish used in this study were obtained in Billefjorden (Svalbard archipelago, Arctic). Desseria myoxocephali, the type species of Desseria, is the only one parasite that was found in the smears. A partial 18S rDNA sequence of D. myoxocephali was prepared and phylogenetic analyses were computed. D. myoxocephali forms a lineage together with Dactylosoma ranarum and Babesiosoma stableri within adeleorinid clade.

Disabled People and Their Integration in the Enterprise

The topic of this thesis are disabled people and their integration in the enterprise. The aim of this work is to determine what the status of the persons with disabilities in the labor market is, the opportunities to find work, if they are not able to perform any job and if there are cracks and gaps in the laws governing the employment of people with disabilities. Custom research was conducted in five selected companies where the people with disabilities are employed. To find information, I used the method of interview in the form of open and closed questions. After reviewing research, I came to certain conclusions regarding the interest of employers to persons with disabilities. I compared own research with current laws and theoretical assumptions to employ these people.

Gaucher disease

This thesis is about the disease called Gaucher disease, or Morbus Gaucher. There is described the history of the disease, various forms of disease, effect of bones, visceral organs, hematological changes, changes in metabolism etc.; differential diagnosis, diagnosis and therapy.
