Speech and Language Therapy Field Care for People with Dysphagia

The diploma thesis deals with the topic of field language and speech therapy for people with dysphagia. The work is divided into four chapters, while the first three define the theoretical framework of the work, the fourth chapter is empirical. The introductory chapter provides an insight into the physiology of swallowing and the anatomy of the orofacial area. The following chapter is devoted to the issue of dysphagia. The final theoretical chapter offers an insight into speech therapy intervention in patients with dysphagia. The fourth chapter presents a mixed design of a research survey focusing on the provision of field speech therapy care for people with dysphagia in the Czech Republic. The main goal of the research survey was to analyze the provision of this care in our country. This was followed by setting partial goals of the work and research questions. Within them, the work tries to analyze the specifics and barriers to the provision of field speech and language therapy care for patients with dysphagia. A questionnaire survey among clinical speech therapists and interviews with some of them was developed. Dialectical vocabulary in Čechy pod Kosířem

The Master thesis has been following the bachelor thesis and its aim was to survey the contemporary situation in the active dialectal vocabulary of inhabitants who live in Čechy pod Kosířem. The thesis contains the historical and cultural disquisition about the surveyed village and a brief description of the typical phonetic features for the middle-moravian dialectic group and central subgroup. The theoretical part deals with the particular types of the vernacular paper. A special emphasis is dedicated on the dialectical dictionaries. The practical part focuses on the lexical analyses which are found on the gathered items from the dialectical questionary based on the onomasiological approach. The analyses themselves include the charts of the lexical use through the generations, the etymological reading and commentaries on the lexical occurrence. The phonetic, morphological and word-formational features are taken into account as well.

Specific language in Čechy pod Kosířem in three generations

The aim of this work was to find out whether and what characteristic features have appeared in the ordinary language of inhabitants who live in Čechy pod Kosířem. The thesis contains the ethnographic part which characterizes the region of Haná and also provides some information about the village Čechy pod Kosířem. The theoretical part focuses on the general description and division of native language, middle-moravian dialectic group and central subgroup. The practical part was based on the language recorders with members of three generations (the eldest, the middle and the youngest). A special attention during the analysis was dedicated with a focus on the phonetic, morphological and lexical features which had occured in the language recorders.
