Radio as a modern technology in the Czechoslovak Republic

My thesis's topic is radio and its influence on society in the First Czechoslovak Republic. The topic of this thesis is approached form a perspective of history of technology. This historical discipline is most widely used within the Western Europe, especially in the Netherlands. The history of technology pays attention to the technology not from excessively technological view, but rather from sociological and cultural view. One of main interests of this historical discipline, lies in the scientists, whose work led to the discovery and technological progress. In my thesis, I will first of all pay attention to the radio as a technological phenomenon. I am going to try to present a new interpretation of the radio. Main interest of this thesis, is going to be technological development of radio from its conception to the spread of this technology, political discussions within the parliament and cultural reflections of this new technology. Federal Idea in Australia from the Second Half of the 19th Century to 1901

My thesis's topic is the evolution of the idea to create a federated Australia in the second half of the 19th Century. The end date of my thesis is set to 1901, when the Commonwealth of Australia was constituted. I will try to outline the main tendencies of the evolution of the federal idea. How has its form changed? How was the unification of Australia imagined by different parties? I would also like to look into the topic of New Zealand, why its government stood out of the Commonwealth. I will be using official records of the debates of various intercolonial conventions and articles from newspapers, which are digitalized. I will also be working with literature by Australian historians. I would also like to mention some frontline persons, who are responsible for the Commonwealth.
