Henrik Ibsen's Plays Directed by Jan Nebeský

The topic of this bachelor thesis is a detailed analysis of three productions of Henrik Ibsen's plays - Ghosts, The Wild Duck and Arnie has a problem (When We Dead Awaken), which were staged by Jan Nebeský, one of the most original contemporary Czech theatre director. The main aim of the thesis is to describe Nebeský's directorial interpretation of Ibsen's work by characterization of individual parts of aforementioned productions. The conclusion deals with determination of typical signs of Jan Nebeský's directorial style. The thesis is accompanied by an annex which represents an inventory of all so far implemented productions of Ibsen's work, directed by Jan Nebeský.
