Using the Learning Management system in the university environment: Applications for medical informatics and dentistry

This dissertation pursues the possibility of increasing quality of teaching students in medical fields using LMS Moodle. It is based on years of experience with designing of e-learning courses at the Charles University. LMS Moodle uses knowledge of computer-aided or computer-controlled teaching at universities. According to an analysis of the changing situation at universities that is characterized by increasing number of students, also by creation of bachelor degree courses and unideal teaching financial security on the one hand and the significant developement of ICT on the other. As part of this work the usability of ICT in medical study fields was solved in subjects "Medical Informatics" , " Prosthetic materials and technology" and " Gnathology". In the last year (2010) LMS Moodle was started for a whole network of medical faculties that cooperate on the creation and access to electronic learning materials MEFANET (Medical faculty's network since 2007). Analysis of the central installation operation of Charles University's LMS Moodle for teaching from 2004 to 2010 gives a good picture of the aspects associated with the operation LMS Moodle, which would help assisting in management of LMS Mooodle Mefanet. Free time in facilties for clients with ordered institutional upbringing

Thesis deals with the leisure activities of children in institutions for children with ordered institutional care, the objective is to find a comparison leisure clients between two selected devices. The theoretical part describes the term institutional and protective education, including historical and current legal regulations, the procedure for their implementation. The school facilities indicates differences in educational work among selected children's home and children's home with the school. The article introduces the characteristics of free time and leisure activities with the documents relating to free time. The research part more familiar with the characteristics of the device and respondents. Interprets the results obtained through quantitative research, which was used as the main research technique structured interview with three kinds of questions (closed, semi-closed and open). The aim is to analyze the leisure clients aged 11-18 years in selected Seagull Children's home Children's home and the school Sedlec-Prčice and seeing how much different use, offer, scope, content, and structure of leisure activities in these facilities. The significance of teacher-student dialogue, the possibilities of its computer reinforcement

This thesis deals with possibilities of encouragement and intensification of communication of pupils with disturbed communication ability due to their endeictic speech malfunction. The theoretical part consists of the terms connected with this issue and their defining.The practical part focuses on communication encouragement of five pupils with endeictic speech malfunction chosen from "Basic school for pupils with special needs" in Lanškroun. There are alternative and augmentative systems of communication, special software and peripheral parts of a computer used to support communication with these pupils.

Transition Programmes to Support an Independent Life for Individuals with Physical Disabilities

The aim of my diploma work is to present summary of transit programs in the Czech Republic and to map their contribution to quality of life of handicapped people. My work will consist of fínding out how transit programs facilitate handicapped people their integration into usual life, how they help them to realize their plans and organize their leisure time. In short, what kind of services these programs offer to their clients. The integrál part of my work will be a description of the situation of handicapped people in the Czech Republic (the description of their needs, current legislative) and drawing up case studies which will illustrate obtained knowledge.
