Case Study of Physiotherapeutic Treatment of a Patient with the Diagnosis of the State after a Fracture of the Proximal Part of the Humerus
Koníčková, Magdalena ; Reckziegelová, Petra (advisor) ; Nový, Filip (referee)
Author: Magdalena Koníčková Supervisor: Mgr. Petra Reckziegelová Title: Case Study of Physiotherapeutic Treatment of a Patient with the Diagnosis of the State after a Fracture of the Proximal Part of the Humerus Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze and describe the physiotherapeutic care provided to a patient after a fracture of the proximal humerus. The thesis focuses on the theoretical part, which addresses the issues related to this topic and provides an overview of suitable physiotherapeutic procedures for this condition, as well as the practical part, which presents a specific case study and the results of care provided to the patient. Methods: The theoretical part of the thesis is conducted through a literature research focusing on the anatomy and kinesiology of the shoulder joint area and humerus. It also describes the classification of fractures, treatment options (conservative vs. surgical), and subsequent rehabilitation after fractures. The practical part provides a detailed description of a specific case study of a patient after a fracture of the proximal humerus. It includes a comprehensive kinesiological analysis, based on which the appropriate therapy was proposed. All knowledge is based on experiences gained during the course of study. Results: During my...
Case Study of Physiotherapy of a Patient after Hemorrhagic Stroke with Right - Sided Hemiparesis
Elicerová, Kateřina ; Novotná, Irena (advisor) ; Nový, Filip (referee)
Author: KateYina Elicerová Supervisor: Mgr. Irena Novotná Title: Case study of physiotherapy of patient after hemorrhagic stroke with right-sided hemiparesis Objectives: The main goals of my bachelor thesis were to obtain new theoretical knowledge about strokes and process case study of a patient after a hemorrhagic stroke with right-sided hemiparesis. Methods: The theme of my thesis is stroke. The first part of the thesis is a general part, the second part is a specialized part. The general part was made using books, scholarly articles and studies. The specialized part contains initial kinesiology analysis, long-term and short- term suggestions of a physiotherapy plan for my patient, individual therapies and final kinesiology analysis including the development of the patient. Results: As we can see in the development of the patient, we managed to make small changes while doing the therapies. Swelling on the right arm is smaller, hypertonic muscles are more relaxed, the muscles around the right shoulder are able to activate a bit, muscles of the lower limb are stronger and the gait improved a lot. Unfortunately, we didn9t manage to improve the spasticity of the right upper limb that much. Conclusion: This thesis proves that when working with this complicated diagnosis you need to have theoretical...
A Case Study of Physiotherapy Treatment Concerning a Patient after Transfemoral Amputation
Lhota, Lukáš ; Novotná, Irena (advisor) ; Nový, Filip (referee)
Author: Lukáš Lhota Supervisor: Mgr. Irena Novotná Title: A case study of physiotherapy treatment concerning a patient after transfemoral amputation Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to elaborate the theoretical knowledge of lower limb amputations. Furthermore, I will present a case study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient with a diagnosis of unilateral transfemoral amputation and evaluate the effect of therapy with subsequent discussion. Methods: The bachelor thesis is divided into theoretical and special parts. The theoretical part is a research elaboration of kinesiological background and theoretical knowledge regarding lower limb amputations with a focus on the subsequent rehabilitation, especially its physiotherapeutic part. In the special part, a case report of a patient after transfemoral amputation, which was prepared in the Regional Hospital Kladno, is presented. The case report contains the patient's history and initial kinesiological analysis on the basis of which short-term and long-term goals were developed. It also contains a record of individual therapeutic units, an output kinesiological analysis, the effect of therapy and a subsequent discussion. Results: During the physiotherapeutic intervention, stump flexion was reduced, breathing waveform improved, lower limb,...
Case Study of physiotherapeutic care of a polytraumatic patient diagnosed with proximal humerus fracture
Lichnovská, Bára ; Neuwirthová, Svatava (advisor) ; Nový, Filip (referee)
Author: Bára Lichnovská Title: Case study of physiotherapeutic care of a polytraumatic patient diagnosed with proximal humerus fracture Head of the thesis: Mgr. Svatava Neuwirthová Aim: The main aim of this bachelor thesis is to outline the possibilities of physiotherapeutic care of a patient with polytrauma, whose main limitations result from the consequences of multiple fractures such as HKK and DKK. Introduction to the problem of fractures - classification, solution of the case study of physiotherapeutic care of a patient with a diagnosis of proximal humerus fracture. Methods: The theoretical part of the thesis is prepared in the form of a literature search. The knowledge of anatomy, kinesiology of the shoulder joint area, humerus is mentioned. It also describes the types of fractures and their division, treatment options - invasive or non- invasive, the course of bone healing and the procedure of subsequent rehabilitation after fractures. The special part includes a complete case report of the patient, initial kinesiological analysis, record of therapeutic units completed by the patient and then the output kinesiological analysis. In the final part I discuss the evaluation of the overall effect of the therapy. Keywords: case study, physiotherapy, brachial plexus, shoulder joint, humerus,...
Use of acupuncture in rehabilitation of vertebrogenic algic syndrome
NOVÝ, Filip
The topic of my thesis is a description of the possibilities of using acupuncture in the treatment of VAS. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. In my work, I focus on the current state of knowledge about acupuncture: the history of acupuncture, Eastern philosophy, its principles, acupuncture meridians and points. In terms of modern rehabilitation, I focus in the theoretical section on the issue of trigger points (TrPs), which have a highly significant position in modern studies on acupuncture. The second part of the theoretical work is concentrated on the phenomenon of pain, which is an important element in understanding VAS and the operating principles of acupuncture. In the third part I attempt to describe and compare modern techniques and alternative acupunctures used in the treatment of VAS. To address the efficiency and reliability of the techniques I analyzed data from reputable international studies. The practical part begins with a list of the methods employed and a definition of research objectives and research questions. The aim of the research was to consider the possibilities of the use of acupuncture in the treatment of VAS and, by means of a questionnaire, to assess its analgesic effect.
