Position of adjectives in Spanish and French - developmental trends

The Abstract The name of the dissertation: The position of adjectives in Spanish and French - increasing tendency The keywords: adjective, Spanish, French, a position of adjectives, anteposition, postposition, increasing tendency. The dissertation named The position of adjectives in Spanish and French French - increasing tendency deals with issues of position of adjectives in French and Spanish language. The main topic of this dissertation is tendency to anteposition for these two languages. It's split to several parts which are separated by themes. At the beginning, we are focusing on adjectives in general and to its basic properties as a part of speech. After, we will get to know an adjective from semantic and syntactic aspect, which is underlying exactly for the position of adjective. In the end of the theoretical part we will also focus on increasing tendency in this area. The practical part will be about corpus and questionnaire research which is intended for native speakers. The aim of this dissertation is confirm or disprove a hypothesis of common tendency to anteposition for French and Spanish adjectives.
Games and Game Activities in Teaching French Language

This thesis deals with method of activation of didactic games and its application into the teaching process. It's focused on the theoretical description and also on the practical use in the teaching of the French language. This method is introduced as one of the ways how to practice language in funny form, but also to gain new knowledge and language skills. We will describe its major aspects and also its place in the curriculum documents as well. We will emphasize its benefits, but also the possible difficulties in its application into the teaching of foreign language. We will mention the process of the game and the atmosphere appropriate to it's use too. In the practical part we will focus on the activities which are suitable for level A0 to A2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Forms of questions in spoken French

The bachelor thesis Forms of questions in spoken French deals with the ways of asking questions in French language as well as the tendencies of native speakers in their choice of a particular question form in various situations of communication. The aim of the first part of the work is to present basic division of question forms and to describe particular question forms in French language. It is focused especially on spoken French. This part also proposes the results of the researches carried out by linguists and researchers who have studied the subject of question formation in French language. The empirical part of this work focuses on a detailed description of the research which was carried out by observing native speakers in authentic situations in France. The question forms collected during the research are analysed from a syntactico-pragmatic point of view. The results of the research are also compared with those already known, and which are described in the first part of the work. The sociolinguistic factors as well as the situations of communication are taken into account during the analysis of the data. Special education and teaching of pupils with autism in France

The aim of this thesis is to describe the education of children with special needs and provide information on education and communication with children with autism spectrum disorders in France. This thesis is based on the contemporary conception of special education and its practice in European countries, namely in France. The legislation as well as the new perspectives in this field are presented. This work emphasizes the necessary cooperation among teachers, parents and other specialists. This is an essential aspect in special education, mainly when working with children with autism spectrum disorders. Autism remains unknown to the general public; the described methods in this work can be used by education professionals in educational processes and communication with autistic children. Motivation to study french language at the high school

This diploma thesis focuses on the motivation of students at high school to study french language. The aim is to discover how is possible to motivate students in french language teaching. The thesis consists of the theoretical and the practical part. The theoretical part describes motivation to study french from the point of view of her three main components: learning, social environment of school and character of french language. The practical part has research form and explores what motivate students at high school to study french, compares motivation for this language at elementary school contrary to high school and compares english to french at high school. The main explored aspects of motivation in research part were: the reasons to study, measure of motivation, teaching environment, surrounding environment of french language, forms of teaching, social influence and barriers in studying french language. I collected the knowledge for the topic by questionnaire survey at Grammar school in Ústí nad labem, at Grammar school in Děčín, at Elementary school school Nativity in Děčín. Approach to Phonetics in French Textbooks

This thesis deals with the changing role of phonetics in the history of teaching French as a foreign language. It provides a probe into the most significant methods of language teaching (the Grammar Translation Method, the Direct Method, the Audiolingual Method, the SGAV, Communicative Approach), including the current role of phonetics in teaching French. It also outlines a possible further development. The historical overview is then demonstrated on chosen French textbooks representing the individual methods, including a more detailed analysis of two contemporary textbooks. The analysis aims to provide information concerning the frequency of phonetic exercises, their focus, type and the use of phonetic transcription. Based on the theoretical background and the practical analysis, a list of inspiring approaches and techniques for current French teaching is made.
Origin and development of the concept of national language in France

The goal of this diploma thesis is to describe the origin and development of the concept of national language in France and to analyze the meaning of this concept in the French environment. Task of the first part is to define the key concepts like "langue nationale", "langue officielle" and to explain their conception in the French environment. The next part pays attention to the relation between national language and dialects and describe the approach to dialects during the French revolution. The aim of the third chapter is to introduce the issue of "grammatisation" and to outline the proces of grammatization of the French language. Follows the chapter analyzing the chronological development of the French as the national language of France, the most important periods of the 18th century and the French revolution are described in particular chapters. The final chapter outlines the importance and role of the language policy and mentions some most significant institutional interventions into the development of the French.
Learning Difficulties and Foreign Language Teaching - Lower Secondary Schools

This diploma thesis focuses on foreign language teaching to children with specific learning difficulties (LD) at Czech lower secondary schools. It aims to define learning difficulties and describe their causes and manifestations in developing individual foreign language skills and sub-skills. Moreover, the work with these children in the school environment is mentioned and the Czech system of educating them is compared to the French one. The practical part surveys the opinions of foreign language teachers on this subject and analyses the techniques they use with these pupils. Special attention is paid to the differences in the approach of teachers at schools with classes specialized in the tuition of children with LD, schools with extensive language teaching and schools with no specialization. The results indicate that the majority of teachers agree with the integration of pupils with LD into mainstream schools and they favour their exemption from second foreign language study. The individual types of schools differ mainly in the approach towards the presentation of new grammar, in the types of exercises used for the development of communication skills and in the forms of testing and evaluation.
