Volunteering as a possible tool for social inclusion

In the Czech Republic, there is no comprehensive system that would prepare young people living in children's homes for independent living. Therefore, children's homes are increasingly involved in volunteer programs, with volunteers or patrons providing young adults with a certain pattern of behavior based on a friendly relationship, passing on their experiences to them and supporting them in entering everyday life. The aim of the diploma thesis is to identify the role of a volunteer in the integration of a child leaving a children's home into society. The specifics of cooperation of children's homes with volunteer programs supporting the social inclusion of the child are investigated. The qualitative type of research and the technique of semi-structured interviews were used to carry out the research part. The results of the interviews were processed in the form of open coding and data categorization. Based on the results of interviews with social workers and volunteers who work with young adults from children's homes, volunteers are important actors in the social inclusion of young people leaving children's homes. The results of the diploma thesis research could be beneficial for children's homes that are considering participating in one of the volunteer projects. The diploma thesis can also be used as an information material for the public and thus address potential volunteers.

The Role of a Social Worker in a Children's Home when Preparing Children for Integration into Society after Leaving the Institution

The bachelor thesis is focused on the role of a social worker when preparing children for integration into society after leaving institutional care, specifically children's home. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part describes the system of substitute institutional care in the Czech Republic and individual institutions of institutional care. The causes and risks of placing a child in a children's home are mentioned. Furthermore, attention is paid to the role of the social worker in the children's home and the preparation of children for leaving the children's home. The forms of aftercare for young adults are listed. The aim of the thesis was to determine how a social worker in a children's home participates in preparing children for leaving the institution and their subsequent integration into the society and which methods and techniques a social worker uses during her work. Another objective was to focus on the attitudes of children to integration into the society after leaving institutional care and to their awareness of aftercare possibilities. The readiness of young adults in certain areas needed for their independent life after leaving the children's home is also investigated. The qualitative type of research and the technique of semi-structured interview were used to carry out the research part of the thesis. The research group consisted of children and social workers from the children's home in Humpolec and from the children's home Senožaty. The results were processed using the open coding method. Through the research, it was to be ascertained whether children are adequately prepared for everyday life, or in which areas more focus is needed on integration into society. Research results can be used as a feedback for social workers in children's homes and other institutional facilities. They can serve as an aid when working with young adults leaving children's homes.

Widows in the mystery of the Church

The Thesis "Widow in the mystery of the Church" deals with the theme of widowhood. First part of the Thesis introduces its sources, starting with a brief summary of information from the Bible, the Old Testament and the New Testament, continuing with topic-related works of church fathers and closing with an examination of church documents. Two life dispositions, which are recommended to widows, themselves present based on the above mentioned sources. Firstly a new marriage, which is recommended to young women, and secondly this is devoted way of life. Second part of Thesis deals with the fundamental choice a widow has to make and explores widowhood as a life disposition. It looks closely at various stages of said choice and explores various factors, which influence its formation. The Thesis shows, that within the fundamental choice a free decision is always included. Important factors in the decision-making process include interacted helping grace, love and rewards. Among significant aspects of a widow's inner life are asceticism, sacrifice, chastity and prayer. The Thesis closes with marriage and devotion.

Další části zprávy popisují výsledky šlechtění rodů Chrysanthenum x grandiflorum, Impatiens, Petunia, Pelargonium x hortorum, Primula vulgaris, Primula x polyantha, Dahlia, Gladiolus a Tulipa.

Job Applicant`s Self-Presentation in Written Form Before an Interview

The graduation thesis deals with the function of a CV in the process of finding an employment, particularly in the period before a face-to-face job interview. The subject matter is observed from the point of view of the employer and of the job applicant as well. In the theoretical part, the crucial terms are explicated and the preparations before the appointment are described. The practical part of the thesis confronts and observes theoretical information taken from a sample that consisted of sixty real CVs. Data in the theoretical part is compared with real facts. On the basis of this confrontation, conclusions concerning various categories as well as the whole issue are made.
