Perception of male and female body in the czech medical literature of the second half of 19th and early 20th century

This thesis deals with the way in which the human body was discussed from different points of view in a particular type of medical literature (so called "Family Doctor Books) in the second half of the 19th and early 20th century. The work is based on a premise that body is not only neutral biological foundation made in nature but perception of body and physicality is influenced by society. That's why certain social changes may reflect changes in perception of human body, especially its conceptualization as a female and male body. Since just around sixties of the 19th century both emancipatory activities of Czech women, their rights extension and generally transformation of gender relations in society started to develop. This work examines whether these social changes reflected in the manner in which it was human, and thus male and female, body reported on in a particular medical literature. This work also explores what such conceptions of human body say about gender changes in society.

Selected Issues of the Discontinuance of Execution according to the Provision of Sec. 268 (1)(a - h) of the Code of Civil Procedure ABSTRACT Execution, as the compulsory performance of obligations by way of interfering with the property interests of the obliged party, for the purpose of recovering the performances owed, represents an important procedural instrument through which creditors may assert their rights vis-a-vis debtors who failed to voluntarily fulfill the obligations imposed unto them in the enforcement order. However, not every execution is successful (in the sense that it results in the recovery of the performance owed). Circumstances may arise during the debt enforcement procedure which prevent its continuation and require enforcement action to cease before its intended purpose could be consummated. The law reflects these situations by providing for the discontinuance of execution, a procedural institution whose purpose it is to permanently prevent the compulsory performance of obligations as per the enforcement order and to lift the effects of the ongoing enforcement on the obliged party's property interests. This paper examines and summarizes the data standard XBRL. The paper explains taxonomies and describes the most important institutions involved in the development and adoption of XBRL as a format for reporting financial and non-financial information in the world. Most attention is devoted to the implementation of XBRL in various parts of the world and in the Czech Republic. The practical part is focused on the possibilities of using XBRL in the Czech Republic and the evaluation of readiness of the Czech environment for the adoption of XBRL in comparison with other countries in the world.

Projekt přijetí IFRS americkou Komisí pro cenné papíry a burzy (SEC)

Tato práce zkoumá a shrnuje vztahy mezi IFRS a U.S. GAAP a institucemi, které se podílejí na tvorbě a kontrole dodržování těchto pravidel. V práce je přiblížen konvergenční projekt Rady pro mezinárodní účetní standardy (IASB) a Výboru pro finanční účetní standardy (FASB), který si klade za cíl maximálně k sobě přiblížit účetní pravidla IFRS a U.S. GAAP. Nejvíce pozornosti je věnováno postavení IFRS ve světě a procesu jejich přijetí americkou Komisí pro cenné papíry a burzy (SEC), která ještě stále požaduje po společnostech registrovaných u Komise zveřejňování účetních informací v souladu s U.S. GAAP. Neamerické společnosti obchodované na amerických kapitálových trzích jsou v této souvislosti povinny sestavovat plnohodnotnou účetní závěrku v souladu s U.S. GAAP nebo zpracovat tzv. reconciliation mezi statutárními účetními pravidly a U.S. GAAP.
