Assessment of foreign language writing skills in the context of the European language policy. Reliability of assessment in writing using German language Maturita writing test

This dissertation deals with the assessment of open-ended test items in the Writing Part of the Maturita Exam. The influence of the European language policy on Czech curricular documents and the conception of foreign language Maturita Exam is described. Writing performance requirements in the Maturita Exam are also specified. Comparison of the holistic and analytic scoring methods follows. Based on that, analytic Maturita Exam criteria and its rater scales are introduced. The dissertation then deals with the research conducted to describe and analyse the 2009-2011 training process of German language raters for writing assessment in the Maturita Exam. Rater training is evaluated and ratings are analysed on the basis of inter-rater agreement among raters and between raters and the expert rating team. The research also explorers whether the set rating procedures and scoring principles, i.e. analytic criteria, raters and the way they use the criteria, are objective, reliable and accurate. The influence of the raters' level of German language, their age and the type of school they teach at is also addressed. The research showed that the level of intra-rater agreement tends to improve throughout the rater training and a certain level of reliability is reached. The theme of honour in Don Quixote

The topic of the present Bachelor thesis is honour, in particular its two facets that are distinguished in Spanish by the terms "honor" and "honra", in the Spanish Golden Age, and specifically as described in two works of art - the novella The Life of Lazarillo de Tormes and of His Fortunes and Adversities by an anonymous author, and the novel The history of the valorous and wittie Knight-Errant Don-Quixote of the Mancha by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. The aim is to describe how this social topic is mirrored in these two texts, and how the authors treat it. The first part of my work describes the historical context and social climate, the perception of "honor" and "honra" in the Golden Age. The second part is devoted to capturing the reflection of this theme in either work of art.

The care allowance within the Benešov region.

The bachelor thesis is engaged in the care allowance within the Benešov region. The aim is to introduce the care allowance issue to the reader since its beginning, mention the history and explain the continuous development in the period of January 2007 - February 2010. The bachelor thesis includes theoretical part, practical part and appendices. The care allowance and its legal regulation are defined in the theoretical concept. Other chapters explain the care allowance recipient and his/her needs, care allowance proceedings, social investigation issue, work of medical advisory service and control of the care allowance{\crq}s use. A chapter defining the issue of municipalities and social workers of the chosen municipal office is also a part of the theoretical part. The issue of clients using care allowance with regard to casuistry is introduced in the practical concept of this bachelor thesis. Appendices contain instances of final reports of conducted social investigations, summary of acts considered in the social investigation of an adolescent applicant, records of control of the care allowance use, Benešov{\crq}s municipal office statistical data on care allowance.
