Grains are one of the most important elements in the human and animal nutrition. The grain is seasonal product. Therefore, it is important to conserve a sufficient amount of grains for year nutrition consumption. These stocks are post-harvest treated before storage. In the post-harvest treatment belongs intake of grain, grain cleaning, grain drying and storage of grains in good conditions. Quality of product is important in terms of market value. This thesis deals with the most widely used post-harvest processing technologies in the Czech Republic. Also requirements for the quality of grains according to standards are explained. The parameters of chosen harvest line and the suggestions of improvements are described in practical part of this thesis. Final part is devoted to the economic, investment and technical evaluation of suggested solutions.

Multiple myeloma- diagnosis and treatment

Multiple myeloma is an agressive hemato-oncological disease the diagnosis and treatment possibilities of which have been developing for the last 15 years. The diagnostic methods include flow cytometry which uses antigen detection to distinguish between pathological and physiological plasmocytes. One of the monitored markers is marker CD45 which could be, according to our monitoring, of a negative prognostic value. 71 patients in our group were divided according to the intensity of CD45 antigen expression and the group with a lower expression showed a statistically higher risk of relapse within 12 months 62% vs. 25 % (p=0,0011). We did not find any connection with the influences of induction therapy or cytogenetics which are otherwise considered the most important prognostic markers. Multiple myeloma treatment involves a lot of combined protocols; and the repeated autologous transplantation is still considered to be the most efficient. We observed more positive results in planning the second autologous transplant early in patients who reached just partial remission after the 1st autologous transplant - significantly better TFS (treatment free survival) and overall survival (OS) were in the group of patients with early tandem transplantation: 18 months vs. 10 months (p=0.04) and the OS median was not reached...

This thesis on the topic Evaluation of the endangerment of land by water erosion in the selected area describes the determination of endangerment of land by water erosion in the catchment area of creek of Čebín, in the district Brno-venkov. The first literary part of thesis marginally describes the land issues which continues with major issues of soil erosion. The next part of thesis describes the characteristic of selected area. The main part of thesis is based on calculations of factors of the universal equation to determine the long term average soil loss by water erosion according to Wischmeier and Smith. Calculations were made in the programs ArcGIS, USLE2D and LS converter. Based on the evaluation of endangerment of land by water erosion were designed erosion control steps according to the current conditions of farming. The thesis is supported by map documentation which is processed in the program ArcGIS.

Vliv zatížení a tlaku huštění pneumatik traktoru na utužení půdy

As farm tractors and field equipment become larger and heavier, there is a growing concern about soil compaction. Heavy equipment and tillage implements can cause damage to the soil structure. The soil structure is important, because it determines the ability of a soil to hold and conduct water, nutrients, and air. These properties are necessary for plant root activity. The basic connection between soil and machine are tyres. The choice of tyres in agriculture not only affects economy of soil operations and traffic, but it affects the soil structure too. The manufacturers of tyres and agricultural machines are developing new constructions, which has goal to decrease impact of heavy machinery on soil structure. Practical part of diploma thesis deals with the influence of load and inflation of tractor tyres on soil compaction. The results of experimental measurement confirmed negative influence of heavy tractor on soil structure.

Monitoring jakosti vody na vybraných přítocích řeky Svratky

The aim of this thesis with the topic "Monitoring water quality in selected affluents of the river Svratka" has been monitoring water quality during one year in selected affluents of the river Svratka, including the sample collection from river Svratka itself before the first monitored affluent joins the river and after the last monitored affluent joins in. For the monitoring was chosen river Nedvědička in the township Nedvědice river Loučka (Bobrůvka), stream Besének in the township Predklasteri and stream Lubě that joins river Svratka in the village Brezina. The first part of this thesis deals with the literature review on the topic of surface water. The second part characterizes the interest flows. The last part of the thesis deals with the methodology and results. There were interpreted readings of conductivity, pH, dissolved oxygen, temperature and the determined concentration of sulfates, nitrates and total phosphorus. These values were compared with ČSN 75 7221 classification of surface water quality and Annex 3 of the Government Regulation No. 61/2003 Coll. on the characteristics and values of acceptable pollution of surface water and wastewater.
