Mikláš, Jan ; Havlíček, Tomáš (referee) ; Stehlík, Jiří (advisor)
The project is aimed at detailed analyse characteristics of (CFA – Current Feedback Amplifier) and realize an fitting aplication to demonstrate accomplishments as compared with voltage feedback amplifier (VFA).
Power Switching Transistors
Mikláš, Ján ; Procházka, Petr (referee) ; Patočka, Miroslav (advisor)
In this thesis, prerequisities for a switching loss measurements are established as well as designing of DC-bus and the base/gate driver for the power transistors; followed by derivation of mathematical approximation of transistor conductivity gCE =iCuCE, circuit simulation using gCE as a transistor model and a discussion of measured waveforms.
Solid State Tesla Coil
Pařenica, Jakub ; Mikláš, Ján (referee) ; Martiš, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis focuses on a theoretical description of the operation of Tesla's transformer, its design, including electronics, and its subsequent construction. The basic theory of the transformer replacement scheme is described. The Tesla transformer is generally described, as well as the methods of excitation of the primary side of the transformer, the generation of the discharge, the skin effect and the meaning of resonance. Furthermore, the work describes the construction of the primary coil holder, secondary coil. The work contains a pattern of the power board from the Eagle program, and everything is accompanied by photos. The work describes the recovery procedure and describes all the waveforms that were measured before and after the connection of the secondary coil.
Optoelectronic sensor of polarization state of light from biological samples
Mikláš, Jan ; Brüstlová, Jitka (referee) ; Tománek, Pavel (advisor)
The living body tissues consist of cells which dimensions are bigger than a wavelength of visible light. Therefore a Mie scattering of reflected of backscaterred light occurs and different polarization states arise. The changes of polarization state due to the multiple scattering of light in the biological cellular tissues allow measure the aging of biological tissue. The reflected or backscattered polarized laser light exhibits multiple scattering on the sample surface and in its subsurface area.
Architecture in landscape - Winery
Mikláš, Jan ; Vojtová, Lea (referee) ; Urbášková, Hana (advisor)
Master´s thesis deal with optimum proposal reset vineyard economy in viticultural area Strachotin. The task is utiliziation of landscape potential CHKO Palava and hydro-electric plant Nove Mlyny with promotion development agricultural tourism in the area. Theoretic part of thesis includes analyses inquiries and progression areas, production problems and vine processing. Practical part includes set of questionable drawings, used technology and material for security of correct performance function construction.
2D Physical Modelling of Semiconductor Equations for Verification of 1D Lumped-Charge Model of Bipolar Power Devices
Mikláš, Jan ; Procházka, Petr
The paper demonstrates a finite-element method(FEM) simulation model of semiconductor devices operation.Classical semiconductor equations employing drift, diffusionand generation-recombination transport of charge carriers areestablished and variational forms for FEM assembly are derivedin detail, including a basic voltage and current boundary conditions.Mathematically, a system of mutually coupled nonlinearequations need to be solved, which requires extensive use ofnonlinear iteration solver. The derived model was coded inPython by strict use of open source tools, mainly grouped aroundFEniCSx project. Graphic output figures and characteristics forbasic semiconductor structures are presented to demonstrate thefunctionality of model. An ultimate goal of presented effort is derivation and verificationof simplified semi-analytical model of Insulated-gate bipolartransistor (IGBT), including precise transient behavior. This kind of model should be calibrated by use ofmeasurement-obtained data, so the qualitative behavior of devicephysics at reasonable computational cost is of primary interestof presented FEM model as opposed to commercial devicedevelopment tools aiming at precise quantitative outputs; whichneed to be experimentally calibrated even so.As an additional step to simplified one-dimensional modelusability verification, results of unusual way of experimentalestimation of minority-carrier excess charge within power bipolartransistor collector and base during on-state is presented andcompared to simulation result.
A Simple Calorimetric Measurement of SiC MOSFET Switching Loss and Comparison with Electric Measurement
Mikláš, Jan ; Procházka, Petr
This paper proposes a simple and accessible method for dynamic calorimetric measurement of ultra-fast power semiconductor devices switching loss. It utilizes a temperature rise monitoring of a copper cube thermally coupled with a semiconductor chip. No special chambers or heat exchangers are used and no additional wiring compared to standard electric pulsed test. This provides an opportunity to perform a direct comparison with traditional electric power loss measurement, including all of the parasitic influences and further investigation of power loss with intentionally varying of particular elements impact, which absent in available literature. The paper establishes the test method and setup as well as a basic comparison of calorimetric and electric measurement.
