Using Advanced xBSD Based Servers for High School
Zadina, Martin ; Michal, Bohumil (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
This work is about setting up Samba software on server with operating system from BSD family to primary domain controller rule in the high school computer network environment with Microsoft Windows stations. After introduction to Samba software there is examined problem of Windows network based on SMB protocol. There are described steps that are necessary to setup Samba software, disk sharing services, creation of user accounts and adding client stations to domain trust. At the next there is described problematic of network printing in the Windows environment, print servers and the solution with classical printing support in FreeBSD and CUPS printing support. In the next part there is described mass installation procedure of Windows stations with same hardware configuration. At the finish, there are noticed some tasks that are necessary for next operation of installed system.
Tax Documentation System for Linux
Prouza, Jakub ; Michal, Bohumil (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis is about concept and implementation of a system uses for simple tax account management in GNU/Linux operating systems. The application has been created by wxWidgets tools library and user's data are saved and encrypted into a SQLite database. Present situation of programs for tax account management under GNU/Linux systems and the goals of this concept are described in the first chapter. The next chapter is describing terms and procedures which are necessary for understanding of tax account management according law. Other chapters deal with the concept itself and the implementation. Conclusion of the thesis is devoted to a review of benefits and further development of the concept.
Online Deduplication for Btrfs
RedirFS - Application on Directory Merging
Holášek, Petr ; Michal, Bohumil (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
Main purpose of this work is to explore history and methods of directory unions, to make a proposal of design and finally to implement Linux kernel module that merges content of directories using RedirFS framework. We will discuss and solve related problems like namespace overlapping or underlying directories changes.
Game Server Administration Client

Comparison of Parallel File Systems
Pazdera, Michal ; Michal, Bohumil (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of this thesis was to explore several parallel file systems, and to evaluate their performance under various conditions. The main focus of this assessment were read and write speeds in different workloads, the reliability of each system, and also their ability to protect from data loss. Initially, this thesis introduces eight of the most commonly used parallel file systems. From these, three were selected for further testing: Lustre, GlusterFS, and CephFS. To be able to evaluate their performance accurately, a suite of automated tests was developed. These benchmarks were run for each individual file system in our testing lab. The final part of this work evaluates the results and discusses the features of each of the file systems and their suitability for particular workloads.
Solar Powerstation Web Interface
Škvařil, Radek ; Michal, Bohumil (referee) ; Lampa, Petr (advisor)
This thesis is focused on practical usage of solar energy in photovoltaic systems and on the Fronius product portfolio. It is also focused on implementation of web interface for modular solar photovoltaic Fronius powerstations system. It is purposed on displaying statistic data, drawing charts and solar system monitoring. This system is desired to act autonomic and self-configurable. System will be implemented using the PHP5, MySQL4 technologies and object oriented programming technique.
Coordinate System Conversion Options for Web Application
Fiala, Marek ; Michal, Bohumil (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this work is to find and compare tools and libraries for conversion of coordinates between Coordinate System WGS84, S-JTSK, UTM zone 33N and Pseudo-Mercator, which could be used in Web Application. Found options are then tested with focus on speed and accuracy of conversion. The main result of this work is list of usable possibilities for coordinate system conversion including comparison of performance and accuracy and its advantages and disadvantages.
Management Application for Touristic Routes in OSM
Švaňa, Petr ; Michal, Bohumil (referee) ; Kašpárek, Tomáš (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with alalysis of Czech Tourist Club hiking routes and checking their data validity in OpenStreetMap internet map source. In the resulting application has user at his disposal visialized OpenStreetMap data and implemented gadgets to simplify the control of these data. First, introduction to this topic is discussed including information about both data model, that OpenStreetMaps uses, and mapping of the tourist trails. Second, analysis of current ways for map data checking along with development of the application, that can bring these controls into practice are concerned.
