Decentralised Production Using Asset Administration Shell
Maslowski, Jakub ; Benešl, Tomáš
This work gradually summarizes key areas in decentralised production and asset administration shell. The infrastructure stands on Siemens PLCs with OPC UA servers. Furthermore, this paper presents a practical solution together with testing results on applications of industry 4.0 concept of asset administration shell, serving as a proof of concept for future research in this area. The findings underscore the potential of decentralized production coupled with asset administration shell to revolutionize industrial processes, offering enhanced flexibility, efficiency, and autonomy.
Asset Administration Shell implementation
Maslowski, Jakub ; Marcoň, Petr (referee) ; Benešl, Tomáš (advisor)
This master's thesis builds upon the author's bachelor's thesis and gradually summarizes insights regarding Industry 4.0, Digital Twins, and primarily AAS. It focuses on describing AAS with regard to the necessary compromises from the theoretical concept of AAS to its practical implementation in the manufacturing process. The extensive practical part deals with the implementation of AAS in decentralized production into Siemens S7-1500 series PLC systems with OPC UA servers, including an individual solution for prioritized queue application. The counterpart representing products is a central AAS Hub Client implemented in Python. The results are presented in the form of testing on a network of 29 virtual PLCs.
Asset Administration Shell for PLC
Maslowski, Jakub ; Arm, Jakub (referee) ; Benešl, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor work gradually summarizes the findings regarding I4.0, as well as its basic parts (AAS, RAMI and DT). Subsequently, it focuses on the description of AAS with regard to the necessary compromises from its original idea with the aim of its successful implementation in PLC, which represents some limitations. The work includes solutions of suitable communication protocols for AAS in PLC. The practical part focuses on the implementation of AAS in PLC from Siemens S7-1200 series using OPC UA methods. SiOME and UaExpert programs are used in the creation. The thesis contains detailed instructions for replication of AAS implementation together with suggestions for possible improvements and its benefits in practise.
Asset Administration Shell for PLC
Maslowski, Jakub ; Benešl, Tomáš
This work gradually summarizes key points about Asset Administration Shell (AAS) with respect to requirements for execution in practise. It also shows how AAS could be realized as well as evaluates deficiencies in the proposed implementation.
