Software for Biometric Recognition of a Human Eye Iris
Maruniak, Lukáš ; Orság, Filip (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
In my thesis, I focus on the task of recognizing human iris from an image. In the beginning, the work deals with a question of biometrics, its importance and basic concepts, which are necessary for use in following text. Subsequently process of human Iris detection is described together with theory of evolution algorithms. In the implementation part, is described the design of implemented solution, which uses evolution algorithms, where is emphasis on correct pupil and iris boundary detection.
Disease Detection in Eye Retina Image
Koštialik, Daniel ; Semerád, Lukáš (referee) ; Maruniak, Lukáš (advisor)
Diabetic retinopathy and age related macular degeneration are among the most common eye retina diseases, which cause partial or complete blindness. The main goal of this thesis is to design and implement software for automatic detection of symptoms from eye fundus images. The detection algorithm is based on the image segmentation by region growing method and afterwards analysis. Determination of retina objects such as optic disc, macula and blood vessels is important prior symptoms detection as they can adversely affect the results of the analysis. Total 259 images were analysed and algorithm reaches more than 90 % average success rate. The algorithm, in combination with appropriate hardware and optic mechanism, forms one of practical application in global population screening. Thanks the automatic detection it is possible to determine the presence of symptoms and start an early treatment.
Use Firebird Database in JBoss Application Server
Maruniak, Lukáš ; Fiedor, Jan (referee) ; Letko, Zdeněk (advisor)
The task was to propose a solution for the Firebird database connectivity to JBoss aplication server. The work deals with configuring source code of JBoss application server so it could work with Firebird database, including procedure for the preparation of environment and implementation enterprise aplication. In conclusion of the work there are analyzed and shown misconfigurations.
Electron Technology for Desktop Applications Development
Ščensná, Júlia ; Maruniak, Lukáš (referee) ; Orság, Filip (advisor)
The thesis is focused on development of desktop applications based on web technologies. These applications are determined to run on major operation systems on the market, namely Windows, Linux and MacOS. The aim of this thesis is to examine technologies that offer this development and to select some of the technologies for future work that includes implementation of applications into selected technologies. At the end, the thesis describes comparison of applications and their testing. The results of this work are implemented applications and their comparison on basis of possibilities they provide.
Generation of Synthetic Images of Eye Retinas
Tretter, Zdeněk ; Maruniak, Lukáš (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to design and implement a program capable of automatically generating synthetic images of eye retinas. The generated images should be similar to those of real retinas, which are hard to obtain, so they could be used for development of various algorithms, which work with eye retina images in their place. This thesis describes anatomic properties of the eye retina, ways to take images of it and also usage of eye retina recognition in biometric and medicinal applications. Design of the program and the way in which individual parts of the retina are assembled together into the final image is also explained in this thesis. These individual parts are created using procedural textures in separate layers of the image. Next chapter of this work describes implementation details of the program. The conclusion then experimentally verifies suitability of the generated images for algorithmic processing.
