Institute of debt relief in the light of amendments of the Insolvency Act
Majerová, Kristýna ; Sedláček, Miroslav (advisor) ; Smolík, Petr (referee)
Institute of debt relief in the light of amendments of the Insolvency Act Abstract The rigorous thesis is aimed at a thorough analysis of the debt relief process from the perspective of a judicial assistant of an insolvency court judge, not only in theoretical but especially in practical terms. Individual chapters correspond to the systematisation of the Insolvency Act, while taking into account the shortcomings of the legislation that lead to interpretation or application difficulties in insolvency practice. A key role in this respect is played by case law, which further regulates and unifies some institutes, while contributing to the excessive formalism of judicial practice in other cases. The thesis is structured into seven chapters that provide a comprehensive view of the process of debt relief. The first one focuses on the basic principles, concepts and sources of legal regulation, including the so-called Lex Covid laws. Insolvency law is a very distinct branch that has undergone a really dynamic development in recent years. In this respect, a significant role was played primarily by the so-called debt relief amendment, which fundamentally redefined the conditions of debt relief in favour of debtors. The concept of chapters two to five corresponds to this. They take into account the continuous process...
Principles and instruments of environmental protection in the energy sector
Majerová, Kristýna ; Damohorský, Milan (advisor) ; Pokorný, Jiří (referee)
The Diploma Thesis deals with individual principles and instruments of environmental protection in the context of energy. The work is systematically divided into three parts in order to first introduce readers to the energy field with regard to the environment, and then practically demonstrate the reason behind emphasizing application of given tools and principles. In the thesis, there is an analysis of the legislative regulation of energy on all three levels, meaning international, union and national. In conclusion, potential shortcomings are pointed out, as well as controversial topics of Energy Law including recommendations for their solution.
Heme-protein interactions in cytochromes P450
Majerová, Kristýna ; Hudeček, Jiří (advisor) ; Stiborová, Marie (referee)
Cytochromes P450 (CYP) are monooxygenases participating reactions of the PhaseI in xenobiotic biotransformations. Better and more detailed knowledge of heme - protein interaction is crucial for understanding of function of these enzymes; in particular, of their regulation. We analyzed orientations of both heme vinyl side-chains in all X-ray structures of CYP enzymes available in the PDB data bank. For two mammalian forms, CYP 2A4 and 3A4, a more detailed analysis of the heme contacts with the apoprotein was performed, based on identification of the amino acid side chains in the vicinity. In addition to spatial information, dissociation constants and Coulombic interaction of polar residues in proximity to the heme were calculated using the PropKA web server. Deviations of the heme from planarity in both forms of P450 was investigated using the normal coordinate analysis (NSD server). Distribution of torsion angles of vinyls in position 2 and 4 of the heme shows that the side- chain at position 2 is conformationally more restricted in most P450 forms studied. Comparison of all forms shows that the range of ättainable values of torsional angles is very wide, practically unrestricted, and that the actual conformations of the heme moiety are probably determined more by the interaction with the protein,...
