Worries of the parents two years old children to attendance in the kindergardens
MRÁZOVÁ, Barbora
This bachelor thesis looks into what opinions do parents have on entering two-year-old children into the nursery schools. It deals with parents concerns about the process of two-year-old children entering the nursery schools and it also reveals parents opinions on this issue to the future. The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis is focused on early childhood and early childhood care, relationship to mother and others, and family. In the practical part of the bachelor thesis the author seeks answer to the research question of What worries the parents of two-year-olds in the process of entering the nursery schools most by means of mixed research methods. The author also collects qualitative data through conducting interviews. Data evaluations enable the author to gain the source for quantitative research items. In the conclusion of this bachelor thesis, the author compares evaluations of both researches. The author fulfils goals of the bachelor thesis and presents answers to the research question.
Study on potentiaion of pharmacological efficiencies of ellipticine
Vranová, Iveta ; Stiborová, Marie (advisor) ; Mrázová, Barbora (referee)
Cytotoxic chemotherapy offers tool for clinical treatment of neoplasia. One of the drugs suitable for chemotherapy is ellipticine. Ellipticine is an alkaloid, which has significant antineoplastic properties. It acts as a DNA intercalator, inhibitor of topoisomerase II and forms also covalent DNA adducts mediated by cytochrome P450 and/or peroxidases. Oxidation of ellipticine by CYP (CYP3A4, CYP1A1/2, CYP2C9, CYP1B1) provides several metabolites (7-hydroxyellipticine, 9-hydroxyellipticine, 12-hydroxyellipticine, 13- hydroxyellipticine, and ellipticine N2 -oxide). Metabolites 12-hydroxyellipticine and 13- hydroxyellipticine, formed by CYP3A4, are responsible for formation of two major DNA adducts. Two carbenium ions, ellipticine-13-ylium and ellipticine-12-ylium were proposed as a reactive species binding to DNA. The main metabolites generated by peroxidases are the ellipticine dimer and ellipticine N2 -oxide, which provide the same carbenium ions and same DNA adducts. Modern chemotherapy uses targeting for higher selectivity for malignant cells and lower cytotoxicity for normal cells. Ellipticine-conjugates and his derivates (N-(2-hydroxypropyl)methakrylamid-ellipticine conjugates, vasoactive intestinal peptide-ellipticine conjugates and human serum albumin-ellipticine conjugates) and epidermal...
Communication and Cooperation of School with Parents concerning Home Preparation of Pupils
Mrázová, Barbora ; Stará, Jana (advisor) ; Kargerová, Jana (referee)
The topic of this diploma thesis is communication and cooperation of school and parents about home preparation of pupils. The theoretical part is divided into two parts. The first part deals with home preparation and homework. There are mentioned some suggestions how the homework should look like, how to set it in class and how to evaluate it. A very important section of the theoretical part is a chapter about positive and negative influences of homework. The second part is concerned with communication and cooperation of school and parents about home preparation. We map the possibilities of parent-teacher cooperation concerning home preparation of students. Moreover, we describe how to involve parents in home preparation and how to proceed. There are also recommendations for parents. In the empirical part of this thesis, we research attitudes of parents, teachers and pupils to home preparation. The main method was a questionnaire supplemented with semi-structured dialogues with some of the respondents (teachers and parents). The results of the research show that teachers have a positive attitude towards homework and that teachers think that homework is important. The attitude of parents and pupils is neutral. The majority of parents think teachers should set homework.

CHARLES UNIVERSITY IN PRAGUE FACULTY OF SCIENCE, DEPARTMENT OF BIOCHEMISTRY Modulation of metabolic activation of ellipticine by components of the mixed function monooxygenase system Summary of PhD Thesis RNDr. Barbora Mrázová Supervisor: Prof. RNDr. Marie Stiborová, DrSc. Praha 2010 RNDr. Barbora Mrázová Introduction 1 IINNTTRROODDUUCCTTIIOONN Ellipticine (5,11-dimethyl-6H-pyrido [4,3-b] carbazole, figure 1) and its more soluble derivates are alkaloids isolated from Apocyanaceae plants, which exhibit significant antitumor activities[15, 21, 24, 31] . Ellipticine was first isolated in 1959 from the leaves of the evergreen tree Ochrosia elliptica Labil[6] . Nevertheless, its pharmacological efficiencies (and efficiencies of some of its derivates) was found in 1967, when they were prepared by chemical syntheses[7] . Ellipticine and its more soluble derivates, 9-methoxy- ellipticine and 2-methyl-9-hydroxyellipticine in the form of acetate, have been utilized pharmacologically since 1970s. They are highly efficient against osteolytic breast cancer with metastases, acute myeloblastic leukemia, kidney sarcoma and thyroid carcinoma[1, 17, 18, 19, 23] . Ellipticines exhibit also significant anti-HIV activity because of their ability to inhibit retroviral integrase. This is the reason, why ellipticine is also...
