Müllerová, Alice ; Šiklová, Jiřina (advisor) ; Hartl, Pavel (referee)
In my thesis I deal with the concept of lifelong learning, as implemented in the European Union, and its significance for some of the socially and economically disadvantaged groups. My thesis is a study built on the fundamental documents of the European Union and on my professional experience. I describe the social changes of the late 20th and early 21st century. It represents a significant change of the concept of education and counseling, including new terminology. I present comparison of the situation before and after the Czech Republic joined the European Union. It contains description of the implementation of European strategies in the Czech Republic, presents an overview of implemented programs, activities and organizations working in the field of lifelong learning and lifelong guidance. This study shows that since joining the European Union many of the strategies implemented are succesfully implemeted at the national level. Creating a system of lifelong learning was asserted as a priority of social policy. However, it is still a process that requires a lot of effort at the level of individuals, communities and governments. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
