Escape Games as a Means of Motivation to Practice Chemical Calculations in High School

Escape games have experienced tremendous growth in the market for action group entertainment in recent years and show potential for educational use as well. The bachelor's thesis focuses on designing two didactic escape games as an innovative tool to revitalize the teaching of chemical calculations in high schools. The research section of the thesis introduces issues related to student motivation to learn, the history, and current use of games in education with an emphasis on escape games and their potential in teaching chemistry and chemical calculations. The thesis also provides an analysis of the curriculum related to chemical calculations in the educational programs of four selected high schools, which revealed considerable diversity and range of treatment of the topic of chemical calculations. The practical part of the thesis is dedicated to the design and evaluation of escape games "Night Escape from Hogwarts" and "Robotic Apocalypse". The goal of these games is not only to practice chemical calculations, which many students find challenging and difficult to understand, but also to increase their motivation to learn chemistry. Monistic structure of joint-stock company This thesis is concerned with monistic structure of joint-stock company in the Czech Republic. It seeks to characterize the legislation relating to this legal institute, which is quite new in the Czech legal system. To be able to evaluate this legislation, the thesis provides the reader with a broader range of information concerning this topic. Therefore, on the basis of these pieces of information, the thesis analyzes the Czech legislation in force that regulates monistic structure of companies. The aim of the text is to provide different views on this issue, various interpretations and proposals on the future development of this legislation. First the thesis gives general information on corporate governance systems, i. e. a monistic structure and a dualistic one, which are subsequently compared. Remaining part of the thesis deals with the structure chosen as a topic for this text. Second part is concerned with regulations of monistic structure in foreign countries and their legal systems. The purpose is to outline basic aspects of traditional monistic structures - monistic structures in countries that have influenced the form of this type of corporate governance system the most. This bachelor’s thesis “Performer and Law” should serve as a legal guide for all the performers who get in touch with law in many different situations, often while even not knowing it. Individual sections deal with topics such as copyright law – authors’ rights and related rights, tax law and social security law.
Step by step the text describes the situations that performer could be involved in due to his or her activity, all the rights and duties steaming from these situations and procedure to exercise those rights or performs those duties.
The author’s aim is to familiarize people, who haven’t ever handled with law, with this huge phenomenon. Therefore, there is a comprehensible language used in this thesis, instead of that used in professional legal literature.

Homelessness as a social phenomenon of our age

The homelessness phenomenon is extreme exposure of indigence and social preclusion. Much of world has been fighting with this problem for many years and our society is not exception. Also in our country the subjects exist which are becoming either volunteer or under the pressure of circumstances socially outcasted. It is livehood of individuals without home who are not able to solve their situation adequately without assistance of others. Hence they search various forms of social remedy. The term homelessness denotes summation of dealings and actions, causes and consequences which leads to loss of upcountry (home), life surenesses or more precisely to social preclusion. In my thesis I tried to zoom homelessness problems without prejudice and to find out public opinion on this. It should serve as basis for further research in this scope and increase the degree of awareness about the homelessness problems.

Přezkoumání hospodaření územních samosprávných celků

Diplomová práce byla vypracována na téma hospodaření územních samosprávných celků (ÚSC). Obec je zde charakterizována z právního, účetního a rozpočového hlediska. Největší pozornost je věnována vývoji právní úpravy problematiky přezkoumání ÚSC ve Středočeském kraji v letech 2004 a 2005. Součástí je dotazníkové šetření provedené mezi kontrolory oddělení přezkoumání KÚ Středočeského kraje.
