The thesis continues by monitoring the development of the arms industry until the dissolution of the Republic in 1938 and describing the structure of the defense industry and the most important Czechoslovak arms factories, which included Škoda Works and Zbrojovka Brno. The threat of Nazi Germany forced yearly increase of military expenditures, accelerated modernization of the Czechoslovak army, which started the boom of the armament. One chapter is also devoted to arms exports, its relevance and impact on the overall trade balance.
