"Nutrition of athletes compared to people with a sedentary way of life."

Introduction: The main topic of this diploma thesis was the nutrition of athletes compared to people with a sedentary lifestyle. Aim: The main goal of the thesis was the nutrition of athletes compared to people with a sedentary lifestyle using analyzing dietary regimen. Material and methods: We evaluated the dietary regimen of 40 women at the age of 20- 30 years old. Women were divided into the groups of non-athletes ("sedentary people") and women who exercise fitness sports ("fitness people"). Their average age was in the range of 25,3-26 years. Respondents filled out the form with their dietary regimen for three days using a 24-hod recall. Records where evaluated with using an extensive food database which was created at the Institute of Physical Education, First of Medicine, Charles University. Student's two-tailed unpaired mean t-test was used to compare the groups. We used the F-test to analysing a equation scattering before using t-test. Results: Group of fitness athletes consumed average 335 kcal less total energy (p = 0.008), 15.17 g more plant-based proteins (p = 0.031), 15.24 g less fats (p = 0.025) and 13.23 g less animal fat (p = 0.044). New diets for patients on dialysis

The bachelor thesis focuses on new diets for dialysis patients. The aim is to create a new dietary regime system that meets the dietary requirements during dialysis treatment and also make the work of nutritional therapists easier. The old system was based on "common rational diet no. 3" and the food was selected individualy for every patient in order to avoid unsuitable meals in the dietary regime. This system was rather time consuming and the nutritional values did not meet the requirements of a dialysis diet. The anatomy and physiology emphasis is placed especially on chronic renal insufficiency. The privotal point of this chapter is the dialysis treatment and a description of dietotherapy in this stage of kidney failure. The practical part looks as the methodology of creating a new dietary regime. The result part compares the improvement in nutritional values with the original "rational diet no.3" and also looks at the methodology of creating new dietary regimes. The main research goal of the questionnare was to find out the patient's satisfaction with the new dialysis diet. Use of addictive substances by homeless people

The thesis is focus on the issue of homelessness in the context of the usage of addictive substances. The aim of this thesis was to analyse links between addiction's behaviour and homelessness. And, to recommend suitable and effective tools for re-socialization of homeless people in accordance with the study results. The research was developed at the turn of the years 2017/2018 in the form of extensive questionnaire survey within the group of homeless people in the Prague city. The research included 300 participants. The methods of the data collection were the structured questionnaire. The research used common statistical techniques. The survey population was selected according to the methods of non-probability purposing sampling. The survey showed alarming information - 65 % of all participants within the homeless people are problematic users of alcohol and drugs. According to the research, homelessness determined the usage of addictive substances, as well as it is the consequence of that. One of the common characteristics of the homeless problematic users of addictive substances is the childhood, or at least the half of the childhood spent in the children's home, or in another diagnostic or detention centre. Employment of people with mental disorders

This thesis deals with an issue of employment of people with mental disorders. The goal of thesis is to describe and to map mental disorders and to point out their maladaptive behaviors. Also to show possibilities of communication in working environment with people with mental disorders and to highlight opportunities of employment in the labor market. The issue is subsequently evaluated with use of questionnaire surveys and interviews with experts in the topic. The thesis is divided into two parts, in theoretical part are explained concepts related to mental illnesses and in practical part is described cooperation with organization Green Doors.
