Multichannel HD-SDI digital video signal converter
Kučera, Stanislav ; Bobula, Marek (referee) ; Kubíček, Michal (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the design of six channel SD, HD and 3G HD-SDI digital video signal converter to 10-Gigabit Ethernet. In the introductory part, the conception of designed device is formulated. The theoretical background is provided in four chapters, where main standards and design rules related to digital electronics’ design are analyzed. The emphasis is placed on signal integrity at high-speed interconnects. There mostly practical examples, calculations and simulations are utilized. The design part contains thorough description of main subsystems’ design, implementation of FPGA, SDI input channels and 10-Gigabit Ethernet PHY. In the final part, the first tests and measurements of the build prototype are summarized. As an example, the comparison of signal integrity simulation to measurement is provided.
Atmospheric correction unit for the laser interferometer
Kučera, Stanislav ; Drexler, Petr (referee) ; Szabó, Zoltán (advisor)
This work deals with design, realization and testing the device for suppression the effect of the fluctuation of the atmospheric conditions on the laser interferometer measurement. Parasitic and randomly changes of atmospheric conditions – temperature, pressure, relative humidity and chemical composition of the air changes his refractive index, then wavelength of the laser light in this environment. Physical properties of air are measured by ultraprecision sensors. The actual wavelength is periodically calculated from Edlén formula. The device is processing the quadrature output signals from receiver of the homodyne interferometer include the atmospheric correction in real time. The device is equipped with interface to data acquisition into the personal computer.
Generating random pattern-avoiding matrices
Kučera, Stanislav ; Jelínek, Vít (advisor) ; Šámal, Robert (referee)
Binary matrices not containing a smaller matrix as a submatrix have become an interesting topic recently. In my thesis, I introduce two new algorithms to test whether a big square binary matrix contains a smaller binary matrix together with a process using randomness, which approximates a uniformly random matrix not containing a given matrix. The reason to create such algorithms is to allow researchers test their conjectures on random matrices. Thus, my thesis also contains an effective cross- platform implementation of all mentioned algorithms. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Change of the Content of the Sport Daily During the Coronavirus Crisis and Futher Developmentof the Paper After It
Kučera, Stanislav ; Němcová Tejkalová, Alice (advisor) ; Turková, Kateřina (referee)
Diploma thesis Change of the Content of the Sport Daily during the Coronavirus Crisis and Further Development of the Paper after It deals with the changes in the daily "Sport" during the coronavirus crisis and in the immediate aftermath, i.e. from March 2020 to September 2020. As there were almost no sports events in the Czech Republic or in the world, particularly in the first third of the examined period, this thesis focuses on how the only domestic daily newspaper specialized in sports topics response to the lack of races and competitions. The thesis also monitors, whether trends established in the first third of the examined period persevered in the daily newspaper even when the situation in the society and the sports environment began to return to normal. In the theoretical part, the thesis deals with the issue of print media in the Internet era, presents selected research into the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on the functioning of media and outlines reporting on smaller sports in the sports media. The analytical part deals with the content of the "Sport" newspaper itself. The thesis examines each issue of the newspaper in the period from March to September 2020 and monitors the representation of sports, the topic of the main article on the front page, the number of sports, the number of...
Table tennis: an unique sport but underrated in the Czech Republic
Kučera, Stanislav ; Němcová Tejkalová, Alice (advisor) ; Macková, Veronika (referee)
The thesis Table tennis: unique sport, but underrated in the Czech Republic deals with situation and media image of table tennis, the most widespread sport in the world, in the Czech Republic. The first part consists of an introduction to the topic, a summary of the most important Czech and Czechoslovakian results in table tennis and a qualitative content analysis which examines current position of table tennis in Czech media. Through four written reports in the practical part the thesis introduces crucial topics of current Czech table tennis. The reports show how table tennis clubs seek for talented children, how Center of young representatives in Prague works, why there are many successful players over forty years old in the Czech Extraleague and what it means to work as a media deputy of the Czech Table Tennis Association.
Hereditary classes of binary matrices
Kučera, Stanislav ; Jelínek, Vít (advisor) ; Klazar, Martin (referee)
Interval minors of binary matrices were introduced by Jacob Fox in the study of Stanley-Wilf limits. We study what can be implied from their relation to the theory of pattern avoidance of submatrices, which is a very popular area of discrete mathematics. We start by characterizing matrices avoiding small interval minors. We then consider classes of matrices closed under interval minors and we find classes of matrices that cannot be described by a finite number of forbidden interval minors. We also define and study a variant of a classical extremal Tur'an- type question studied in the area of combinatorics of permutations and binary matrices and in combinatorial geometry. 1

Comparison of mutual funds from international perspective
KUČERA, Stanislav
The theme of this thesis is comparison of mutual funds from international perspective. The funds compared are situated in countries of the European Union and the United States of America. The funds of the EU are situated in these countries: Germany, France, Great Britain, and the Czech Republic. The comparison was done in five-year term, and three-year term. To compare the funds, the theory of modern portfolio was applied. The funds were compared on basis of returns, risk and risk-to return.
