Process of adoption of the Slovak autonomy law in Slovak and Czech print media dated since October 6th, 1938

The master thesis talk about the progress if events in Slovakia since October 6th until the enactment of the autonomy law in November 1938 mainly through the eyes of the most important slovak and czech newspapers. Based on the printed news the author of this thesis tries to find the paper's stand to the slovak autonomy. A great deal of attention is dedicated to the internal and foreign politics of the Autonomy and its reflection in the print. As for the internal politics, the author looks into the rise of Slovak people's party led by Hlinka and it's attempts to enforce the totality in Slovakia. On the other side the foreign politics puts emphasis on the discussions about area abbandonment with Hungary and Poland. The main goal of the thesis is to point out the essential evolution tendencies of the Slovak autonomy through the eyes of slovak and czech newspapers.
